Anyone wanna see a neat trick?

This is all true. Try it, you'll be amazed. I don't know HOW it works, nor do I want to.

What ya do is this. When the missus has gone out and there's a few mates around. (Insert beer here)

Grab a coffee cup and three quater fill it with cold water. Take a light bulb that works (remove one or use a new one out of the packet, chicks love that) and place it in the cup, electricky part in the water.

Now place the whole assembly in the Microwave.

Close door.

Set the timer to......say..........5 seconds.

Press "Start".

All your mates will gather 'round in awe as the lightbulb lights up, uttering phrases like "Fuck me" and "What the fuck's it doing to my food!"

I'd advise that you only let the light glow for a few seconds before shutting the microwave down. If you want a real laugh, do it just as the missus walks in the kitchen. The look of horror is priceless although it's normally accompanied with "GET THAT FUCKEN THING OUTTA MY MICROWAVE!"

This is one of my really cool party tricks that I'll probably never be allowed to perform.

Cool trick eh? Showed the boys at work that trick one day. Took the lightbulb out of the socket in the smoko room- chucked it in the micro wave in my coffee cup with water- bulb lights up- "oooo, ahhhh", everyone is most amazed- I put the bulb back where it belongs- turn around to make my coffee- POP!!- light bulb falls out of socket and explodes on floor- I am so cool :rofl:

Yeah this is a great trick... done it before with lightbulbs/water etc. If you dont use water the plasma that builds up (orangy blob) will melt the bulb through. Bright white light is filiament properly combusting from memory.

CD's are reaallly good fun too.. crackle and make a great smell. Do it when the wife will be away for a couple of hours so you can air out the house.

edit... pyrocam/whoever... put it in a PLASTIC container with a lid.. one of the ones you freese stuff with that are see-through. Put water in and leave one side of the lid off so if something somehow pops it wont have a second pressure holding container. This way the bulb is completely submerged and the glass will not crack or get heat spots. They probably say this on the site but.. yeah, works well and lasts for ages. Neon light sticks are good too.

Another cool trick:
Get some grapes, put a little oil on the microwaves plate, stick a grape on the plate and turn the microwave on.
One of two things will happen, #1 grape goes pop, #2 grape goes like a rocket around the plate with all of the steam escaping from the back of it.
I know another one for your next party...
Go into your loo, turn the water off and flush it.
Dump some (lots) of dry ice in there.
Break a couple of Kylume (sp?) sticks and drop them in aswell.
Remove the lightbulb and leave.
