Instead I am at home after a brief ride in a tow truck, staring out the window at my baby who is happily intact but has a rooted clutch. How frustrating to not be certain this is going ahead as planned.

At this stage I am going with meeting at Millenium Stadium at 12 midday tomorrow.

I will post up here with Plan B or C tomorrow at around 10 am once I know what the Cancer Society are planning to do.

Be prepared to be there at 6am on Sunday morning. For those north or south a night here will be available if that is the story, I WONT be staying up all night if that is what happens. I also wont be catering for all of you, so plan to pitch in for a feed if you plan to stay here the night. I dont mind cooking something.

For now, plan on being there all night. And plan to stay up all night too :sunny:

There will be a tent set up to store gear in, that you can crash in if you get desperate.

Bring warm clothes and wet weather gear. Have a hat or lots of hair. Have some comfey shoes to walk in.

Plan for sunshine and lots of it :pinch:

Bring water/juice/beer/booze to drink.

Bring some food or money to buy some.

Plan on having one of the MOST amazing times of your life.

We need someone with internet access please, cameras are a must.

Let me know if there is anything you need me to do/bring etc.

Bring any money you have not managed to bank along with any deposit recepits and donation sheets.

Thanks to Maha & Mom for hosting 'the relay - plan B'! I guess we just weren't meant to spend hours walking... I think we did a pretty good job of spending the time drinking instead :laugh: I had a great night, it was really cool to spend more time with you all before skipping the country. Yeah, it has been a really amazing thing to take part in for sure. We made a decision that we will do this event annually and I have a really big favour to ask you. How would you, or anyone else for that matter, mind if I kept one of the "baton bags" so we can use it each time we do the Relay. The other one can be given to Tony with his book and the maps and messages.

6.40pm arrive from Whangarei at Auckland domestic terminal
Then I need to get my ass over to international terminal (hopefully someone will be able to bring a spare helmet and escort me in style??? hehe)
Flight to Vancouver leaves at 8pm, but I remember last time I went they started boarding half an hour before departure time.

SO... there isn't really that much time, damn damn damn why didn't I book a later flight... if only I'd known. :weep:
Only come along if you want to, please don't feel obliged. Will be nice to see any friendly faces, but I should warn you that I will probably be a blubbering mess :crybaby::laugh:
