It is a pretty easy job but my first question would be why do you think you need to?

bike won't start. not sparking and i've checked the spark plugs. They are fairly new and clean. I've asked around and ignition coils might be blown. What do you think?

I thought they had a stator coil?
If it's a normal coil with two leads off it, I can help you out.

Does it have points or is it electronic ignition?

Kick Start so points. Twin coil ignition. i got bored and took it out. resistance tested both coils and primary coils are fine. both secondary coils to plug caps are open circuits.

If the coils are part of the stator, re-wind them.
If they're separate, just get any coils you can lay your hands on
