View Full Version : The most beautiful bike in the world, ever. Reloaded

Urano
2nd April 2012, 08:03
As everybody certainly knows, till this winter the most beautiful bike in the world was the mv agusta f4 first version:

lightly modified lately, but not so much changed...
way below, in second place, there was the triumph daytona 675, still first version:

http://www.triumphchepassione.com/immagini/gamma_modelli_Triumph_2005/daytona-675-triple/daytona-triple-675-foto.jpg

unfortunately the mid-age makeup in this case has worsened the lines, but whatever...

well...
with the equinox the situation may have changed... a little bit...
and we have unquestionably a new higher point of unpaired beauty with two wheels attached...

http://www.motosprint.it/images/995/C_7_Media_109995_immagine_xl.jpg

world, meet the mv agusta f3. now on the road.
it's as beautiful as the bigger sister f4, but it's lighter (both in weight and lines), smaller, slimmer, cheaper, smarter and in anyway you look at it seems more... "modern"... from an architectural point of view...

http://www.motosprint.it/images/999/C_7_Media_109999_immagine_l.jpg

and, after all, it seems also to handle quite well the brute reason of its existence.

The MGS-01 is tasty, no question. But Manx Norton. Now we're talking.

Yep, Tamburini would kick God's arse in a design contest.

The F3 is pretty but it's derivative of the F4, not original, and that exhaust bug's the shit outta me.

The MGS-01 is up there in the sex on a stick stakes, but the Daytona is ordinary, and the V-due's stingers fallin' outta the bum at 90deg just look wrong.

I hate to admit it but Crasher is pretty close to the mark for those who like to get grubby...and who doesn't?!

Most boootiful modern bike for me, MV F4, all of them and the 916 through 998.

Not sure on older bikes, there are too many.

The top bike ever though has to be mine, I love it and that's all that matters.

thats what Stroud heard that day at Puna.

according to something I read he liked the blade/girder fork because it allowed more airflow thru the bike so it could hit the rear mounted ducted rad. But that might have been justification afterward for something that was one of those "Holy fuckballs, how cool would this be?" ideas. I like it better in the CRS livery than the blue and pink.

Robert Holden rode a blue Britten at the IOM with yellow 'bits' rather than the usual pink 'bits the Brittens mostly came out as. looked quite nice too for a change

Thanks for that when i get some good shots with better background can I pm you and see what you can do with them. These were only taken on my cheaper camera 4mega pix and not the 12mega camera.I have some more carbon parts on the way from the states also to fit to it.

Tigadee
6th April 2012, 11:58
Sure, wait till you've fitted the carbon parts, then do some nice pics... Low angles work better. Try to have backgrounds far away from the bike, i.e. no walls just behind.

A trick photographers use [esp. if they don't have expensive portrait lenses] is to move far from the bike and zoom in. That along with the distant background creates a more blurred look. So large space between camera and bike, and bike and background, then zoom in to the view you want.

Pick times such as after sunrise or before sunset and have the sun behind you and diagonal, i.e. not directly behind you... Midday is crap because of too-strong shadows.

wasnt quite that 'simple' Vincent were never 'cheap' bikes... triumph were the more affordable 'louts' machine..... Regardless of extinction, a HRD is pure class, and was the first 'SUPERBIKE' in the Shadow or Lightning forms. It's top end wasnt 'bettered/equalled' by a production machine until the (possibly H2, but definitely the Z1).
