Hey everyone,

I managed to drop my bike the other day (not happy :P) and have been ordering parts I need eg. new gearshift, clutch lever from ebay and TradeMe which has been good. Though some parts, specifically the indicators, I've had real trouble sourcing. I needed a front left indicator (my bikes a 2008 SV650s by the way) and the only one I managed to find locally (didn't want to look to overseas as I just wanted to get the bike back on the road) was from Colemans, costing me $95..... bloody ridiculous for a plastic housing and a bulb but I just bit the bullet and paid my $$$.

Anyway, what I'm getting at is, are there stores nationwide selling parts that you've had good experiences with? I've had a look at bits4bikes and bikestore which seem alright. I'm after genuine parts (with prices that aren't ridiculous) or aftermarket. Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
James

I have an 08 650N but I have LED indicators on it. Still have the originals and you're welcome to them if you want although I have a feeling that the S and N have different indicators. And re the genuine parts thing, short answer is no. Ebay is your friend!

The price of genuine parts will be virtually the same at any Suzuki dealer throughout NZ.

Suzuki NZ set the RRP - not the individual shops.

THe indicators are not integrated to the fairing are they on that... so, I'd just get some small LED indicators from eBay or Trademe, they'll probably look better anyway and are cheap as chips.

You might need an electronic flasher also.

$30 and you can have 4 brand new LED indicators and a flasher.

Should be yet I had a bike that needed a basic (genuine) part that was almost double from one shop in Wellys to another......
