"A West Coast man committing his 18th drink-driving offence when overtaking a police car has told a court he didn't stop because he did not want to have to leave his motorbike to the mercy of thieves."
Any excuse will do?

18th drink driving offence should mean "shot on the roadside and bike sold to cover the cost of the plot".

He should have been binned and his bike crushed. The reason we are a target is?

Check this article out. http://www.listener.co.nz/commentary/the-black-page/joanne-black-its-how-were-drinking/
Forsyth explained the incidents by saying some patrons appeared drunk when they were merely aggressive, tired or suffering from being punched.

+1
Donate the bike to St Johns and use his corpse as compost for a community garden. At least then he is paying back some of the oxygen the planet has wasted on him.

What sort of a fucked up society lets him get to 18. 3rd time should of been the one where the fucker loses a limb or two with the help of a big rusty axe. Makes me

It's not that bad, it had been 24 years since his last drink driving conviction so its like he was starting again. :corn:
He had learnt something from his previous convictions, most likely what he learnt was to take the back roads
He told police he had been drinking at the Rapahoe Hotel and drove home through the back roads of Taylorville and Stillwater to avoid arrest.

Holy crap, only a $500 fine for overtaking cops, leading them on a chase and being over the alcohol limit?
With $400 for 30km/h over the speed limit, that extra $100 sure buys a lot.

Fun part is that you can ask the Police to secure your vehicle and they have to endeavour to do so.
