Yes yes, it's another new one! Not exactly stop the presses material is it?
Ah well, shouldn't be the cause of any grievous bodily harm, so it couldn't be that bad. Unless it is, in which case, that's a little unfortunate and I apologise profusely.
I'm one of the "young ones". You know, one of those louts the elderly are always complaining about. Not that I'd dare call you fellows elderly, that title is affectionately reserved for the parental units.
As a female who is dreadfully starved of anyone to ramble about the joys of two wheels to (other than my friend Catherine, but her two wheels doesn't come with a motor so she's banished to the pile of the unenlightened) I have been rather lucky to stumble my way across a bunch of others of the enlightened.
I'm a dirt biker, I haven't ventured in to the realms of the road yet. Where are the giant slippery hills with roots in the middle of them and bogs with about twenty bikes churning through like they're swimming in treacle?! I'm "officially" on the Suzuki DRZ125L, but really I've banished my father to that and adopted the KLX300 as my own. The poor bloke is stuck in fifth gear everywhere except the hills as the suspension screams at him to shrink down so it's not in agony. If only... Would reduce his agony as well really...
The object of my great lust is the Husky TXC310. Now in my unemployed state, I just have to stumble across my long lost inheritance and miraculously have 13 grand and maybe some longer legs... Cursed genetics! I'll just have to cheat you with some lowering links and a shaved seat now won't I? Until then I'm stuck with my poor pudgy friend the KLX. She's lovely and all, but I'd like to upgrade to a slimmer, more attractive model thank you very much!
And to any of you out there at the Jolly Roosta last month, the girl being pulled out on the back of the ute in a neck brace was my girlfriend. All she got for her trouble was a bruised thumb, the knowledge they cut down a tree to pull her out and a mopey Summer (yes, that's me... And I'm not a blonde haired hippy with long skirts flowing skirts and daisy chain bracelets despite was has been assumed in the past) mourning the loss of a couple of hundred bucks of armour to the ambo officer's scissors. But she's alive and non-broken so I think I can be consolled!
Anyway, I believe I have now rambled enough! Glad to have found you all, and yes KB admin, I think I will "enjoy my stay".
