I just built this
Go to

and click on sound jam.
Play the riff and click on all the bikes together.

It's useless without the sound of a piped VFR. Or maybe even a proper v-twin, or a decent-sounding Triumph.

Run it thru your stereo at full noise late at night. Watch the neighbour's lights come on!! That's great BD

Find me a good recording and I'll run it!
I'm going to tape some dyno runs too.
But It's only a toy - serious quality sounds are too big to dowload. I have the quality squashed out of them and it's still 390k.

What's a "good recording"? I can do one on my camera, but the mic's a bit small, and I suspect distortion might not be the best.

Fairy Nuff.
Actually, almost every sound file I've heard of bikes has sounded crap. The worst are probably the ones inept foley artists use for bikes on films, like Terminator 2, where there's an XR Honda with a 2-stroke sound track, and about 15 million gears. :weird:
"Bike sounds? Ayup - here's one, it'll do!"

a digital vidcam quality sound is fine for web. Ambient noise/wind is more the problem.
I bought some of those sound bites from a film house. - they sound heaps better a 4-6mb, but that's not workable for dl.

Oooer.... we've got one of those now, courtesy of #2 son blowing his last remaining shekels on a Sony digicam. He's itching to film summat decent; maybe I should practise wheelies up and down the road after work, then he could send the footage of me carooming into a parked car to Murka's Boringest Videos or summat, and I could send you the soundtrack of a VFR in its death throes....
