Have you got things laying around that you wish you could think up uses for, rather than throw them away?
I've got two at the moment. Maybe you can give me some ideas. And post up your own!
- I've got a handful of fully disabled 5.56 rounds.
- A hot glue gun
I can't think of anything to do with either.
Glue gun used to be used for crafts when I was a kid, and I've hung onto it for 20 years or so, thinking it might come in handy!
Edit-
Hmm maybe I'll just collect some sticks and leaves and glue them to paper with my daughter.

Have a search of the instructables.com website, people do a lot with spent casings!
I turned a broken hard drive and a bit of pipe into a rotating toothbrush holder, and non-rotating razor holder. I also turned some old cutlery into a photo holder, and more old cutlery into a one handed steak cutting/eating device aka the fnork 2.0 Scrap metal challenges are always fun.

When i was young me and a mate went to school at night and he drew a chalk outline around me and we splashed some chicken blood around (his old man killed chickens). Would have been even better sprinkling some shell casings around.

Turned a pile of rusting old british bike parts into a working motorcycle.
Turned a few critters into things like mince, steak, chops, roasts.
Turned heaps of fish into fillets, fishcakes, soups.
Turned my next doors cat into a blood stain on my front lawn,,little turd factory wasn't expecting that:killingme
Turned my front door step into somewhere Mormons will never feel comfortable again.
Got a shed full of different things that my mrs still calls Junk even after 33 years of bondage, but I'll be turning most of that into something usefull when I get around to it.
If you have a gun, fishing rod, shovel, hammer, welder or any of them sorts of things,,,you can turn most things into something else.

I made a wind chime out of differnet sized cartridge cases. Top centre piece is a 40mm rifle grenade shell from an M72.
Outside goes from .50 cal down to a .22. Centre 'dinger' is a .308
Makes a nice noise.

Pfft. Amarture.
Try a plastic rubbish bin in a swimming pool.
Oz in large cone, (fitted to the base of the inverted rubbish bin).
Two mates draw it up out of the water, while a third mate "stokes"it with a Benzomatic torch.
Receiver dives under the bucket, and the other two push down so the retreiver receives the goodness.
Note: Don't get caught by your shift boss or mine site manager.

Didnt get around to using the glue gun for anything yet.
Also.. got way to many empty maconna coffee jars. Great jars, so hung onto them. No idea what to use them for though!
If I did jam making, they'd be perfect!

I've got a couple of recoilless rifle shells (approx 90mm in diameter and 450mm long) sitting in the garage. Thinking of making a lamp out of them with coloured lcd light tubes.
They're rather heavy !

Yeah fuck yeah !
I have a 105 shell laying about somewhere. That would make a primo can for an old bike.

Built a BBQ a few years back in Twizel. Standard concrete blocks for the body and a rectangular piece of steel that was covering for a sort of a manhole in the long grass over our back fence at the time...for the hot-plate. The piece-de-resistance though was the old aluminium cover for a toaster that I straightened out and cut to size to be a door at the front of the bbq. Best part though was that the toast holes retained a curve in the middle of the straightened out toaster body which was then ideally shaped for a beer can to snuggle up to and make an effective damper for the firebox. It were masterful I tells ye!
