Hi
A while ago I was told about a guy on KiwiBiker who could overhaul old shockies.
I have a couple of 'Oleo' air over hydraulic shocks that I need to get overhauled.
I believe Velocette's may have had Oleo's fitted.
Mine are quite big (about 2" bore) - they are the landing gear shocks off a P40 Kittyhawke.
They are quite pitted and will probably need re-sleeved.
Does anyone know who the 'Shockie Guy' is?

never heard of him
US born actor on the big screen who played leading roles in many movies until his untimely death circa around 1969 / 1970. Dont you keep up with such historical facts?

That's a hard question. This site has only been going for about 10 years and nobody has ever asked a question like that before. Just like nobody ever thinks to use the search facility.

Thank for your constructive input!
Why bother commenting if you are only going to be facetious?
Actually I did do a search before posting AND I trolled through all my old posts/threads as well.
After I couldn't find his name myself I thought the helpful Kiwibiker members could help me.
Obviously you're not one of the helpful ones!

Thats great - thank you for your help.

Yes I know only too damn well that my business name etc has not been fully updated on this site. All in the fullness of time and when there actually is ample time to do so. We are actually VERY busy and thats a nice problem in this broken world

Exactly but no patronising is neccessary, but its reminded me about the ongoing hassles with a name change
