I thought I'd give Sella a go at selling some stuff
Basically it's a perfect condition Raid II helmet in pink/white in xs (53-54cm).
It comes with a whole bunch of stuff, like:
- couple of clear visors (1 with pinlock)
- flash silver iridium visor
- spare check pads
and some other stuff
Pictures and more details here

Really hoping Sella will pull through and since it's on there and I won't need to sell my up-coming new born to pay fees :), we're open to offers as well.

How old is it?
ummm, that's a very good question...
[sends text to wife]
...
I'll post back when I find out. Maybe just a couple years. I think she would have only worn it maybe 10 times in that time as she's had no bike and only just started riding mine before she got up the duff. But I'll confirm when she gets back to me.

haha snapped. Brooke was the one that got me the pink mohawk

Regarding age, I should probably pay more attention, it's about 4 years old roughly and it was used when going to work for a few months.
I suppose that just goes to show what good nick it's in ;)

Just added some photos in case people are too shy to go onto Sella. There are more photos (and more detailed) on there though.

No one keen? Is it 'cause I smell funny?
Wrong colour?
Price?
Don't like 2nd hand helmets?
Come on, be honest, I can take it. Besides, it's the wife's so I'll just pass anything on to her. I merely doing what I'm told :bash:

Hi man,
might be too small for my girls and MNZ recommend that race helmets are no more than 3 years old, despite the manual saying 5 years. If I knew it would fit my daughter I'd be interested.

Ah, I see. If it's any help, when Brooke got her head measured it said she was a small (next size up) but when she compared the two sizes, the XS was a better fit. Especially with the other cheek pads. Do the cunning "shop-fit" thing :)
Interesting recommendation with regard to helmet age. Is it because of technology or is a like a expiry/best before thing and they just don't taste as good? ;)
It would look hardcase blasting around on a bucket with a pink mohawk!

Don't quote me on reasons for the age thing but the concern might be that over time the lining compresses with use and decreases in it's crash absorbiness. I have also heard that over time, laminated helmets helmets can develop soft spots due to moisture getting in via chips etc. I think the main concern though is with wear and tear related issues. Your helmet has hardly been used though.
Still, second hand helmets can be a risky venture.

Makes sense. Yeah, 2nd hand lids are interesting. They're certainly a hard sell haha. I've always been weary of them myself unless they looked new condition (like with my wife's new one). Dunno what some plonkers do to them and try and get away with.

ummm, there was. We just sold a jacket a month back but I can't remember if Brooke's got anything else. She did have a few pairs of gloves but I think she has a "pair for warm, pair for cold" thing going on. Will check with her today though.

Still for sale. Opened to offers (I changed the price) but put it this way, I think it's a steal at the price I put. I'm avoiding using Trademe but I'll give it a little more time and see what happens. Hopefully I want have to use them.
Also willing to "part out" as well. So if you want one of the visors or cheek pads etc. Let me know.
Come on, I gotta pay for the sleeping pills for when number 2 mini-me arrives in the next week or two! :)
