Very cool. Note the tyre brand..... things have improved over the years. Tyres are keeping up now I remember in the 80's the tyres struggling with 100 hp Jap 'superbikes'!

..isn't that what they are going to use for the MotoGP next year...

The tyres in the first post are Pirelli MT53's - most often seen on a flattracker, but they were a pretty good street tyre in the day. Try doing this on an over the counter street tyre today.

No - its not a square four (regardless of how you spell it) as its obviously a V4 (or L4) and the earlier poster had it right - its a Ducati Apollo... It didn't work out for them but half of it as a twin seemed to go very well...

This? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ducati_Apolloawesome, never knew of it having said that it never went into production... bummer cos 100hp back then...

The 1964 Ducati Berliner 1260 Apollo was a prototype 1,250 cc (76 cu in) V4 engine motorcycle producing 100 bhp (75 kW) and capable of over 120 mph (190 km/h). It was never put into production,

He is indeed a crafty bastard - I hear he wrote off a nice V twin Aprilia........... bet he will be bidding on that sweet engine when it comes up as a insurance sale. Just right for the AG100 conversion...............

Wasn't referring to the modern V-Rod or the other Hot Rod, but the model shown here Doh...... And weren't we talking about the late 70's .
The same could be said of Suzuki's rival of Honda's CBX 6 cylinder even though they're 25 yrs apart in design.
