    What's this old V4 thing?

    stumbled on this picture, V4 by my reconing but what brand is it? kinda reconise the tank badge... Click image for larger version.

    Very cool. Note the tyre brand..... things have improved over the years. Tyres are keeping up now I remember in the 80's the tyres struggling with 100 hp Jap 'superbikes'!

    The tyres in the first post are Pirelli MT53's - most often seen on a flattracker, but they were a pretty good street tyre in the day. Try doing this on an over the counter street tyre today.

    No - its not a square four (regardless of how you spell it) as its obviously a V4 (or L4) and the earlier poster had it right - its a Ducati Apollo... It didn't work out for them but half of it as a twin seemed to go very well...

    He is indeed a crafty bastard - I hear he wrote off a nice V twin Aprilia........... bet he will be bidding on that sweet engine when it comes up as a insurance sale. Just right for the AG100 conversion...............
