do i have a deal for you... 1x Safari 28L tank to suit a DRZ400 / KLX400 just in time for the Dusty Butt!

I have trail ridden with this tank and bought it second hand so its a bit scratched up but reflected in the price, just cosmetic otherwise perfectly fine no leaks etc

can get nearly 500km's with 15t/47t low gearing on my DRZ400E

$350 first in first served... if noone contacts me it will go on trademe soon as I need the $.

Located in CHCH, would prefer local buyer as couriering could be a pain!

Cheers,
Tim

I'm surprised this hasn't gone yet, with the AU conversion rate mine cost me $834NZ landed, plus I had to wait 5 weeks for them to do another run of black. $350 is a bloody good price

There should be no duty as Motorcycle parts are exempt, but you will be up for GST on the purchase price not including freight and $33.07 worth of other fees.

Dont go bringing logic into a perfectly good whinge.

Actually the Dusty Butt has been a great excuse to convince her indoors that i have to spend some extra money

Must have a big tank for those long south island passes
Need an FMF exhaust to lose some weight off the bike because i will be carrying so much luggage
Must have a power commander because the EFI bikes dont run that well at those high altitudes in the south island:devil2:

What ever they want to call it - administration fees - gestapo tax, it still cost me another $166.00

Yeah I got pinged for all of the same things when I got my tank a week ago. Apparently in Jun or July the importing rules got changed and anything over $60 gets gets pinged now :eek5:

The I read the calculators answer... it's anything that earns $60 or more in duty and GST charges that gets pinged so if you spend NZ$399 or less you may be ok. I tried a couple of categorys (automotive parts and computers) and got the same answer.
Reading your post made me think even if I only spent NZ$60 I'd get pinged... gave me a little fright :sweatdrop

Luggage may not be considered a motorcycle part.

You should have hit Cave Weta up, he makes some bags like that for a very good price in NZ.
