View Full Version : FREE - A50 to a good home

Mental Trousers

Hi.

I'm in Hamilton and have just moved house. I've got an old Suzuki A50 that I can't take with me (moved into an apartment and don't have any garaging). It's been sitting around for ages just collecting dust & rust. In fact, it'd be lucky if the barrel & piston are still seperate entities.

Anyhow, if anyone wants something to fiddle with it's going free to a good home as long as you can pick it up. Email me - heeheehaha_AT_clear.net.nz (replace the _AT_ with the @ symbol)

Shane.

Thats a great idea, was thinking of putting my hand up for it being local, but instead i'd second Frosty getting it.

If you give it to me I will be able to find parts at work and somebody could help me do the repairs and then we could pass it on to a learner KB'er. Maybe sort a donations system to pay for parts.

I can supply a new piston kit (+ maybe gaskets) at below cost price if it's a KB bike and it needed it.

First person that rings up gets the bike. Can't wait and hold on to it any longer.

Anyone who rings, make sure you say you saw it here - I've been telling anyone else that has rung that it's already been claimed by Kiwibiker

Was thinking that. If someone in Hams has a trailer I can borrow... Or depending on where MT lives I may be able to just push it.

Picking it up tomorrow at about 5:30. Now I just need to know if someone has a trailer I can borrow for the afternoon.

And Frosty you can come and get it from here anytime, it'll be in the garage next to my CMX so no hurry.

Has Quasi got a trailer?
Cos he transports his bikes around.

or maybe hire one for 1/2 hour... ring around to see how much they are to hire for a short time.

Got about 2 bucks to my name at the moment so hireing one is out of the question. Will PM Quasi though, maybe even get my movie back if he's done with it yet lol.

Talked to Waylander and he's gonna look pick it up until someone can get it up to Auckland.

Fair warning - it hasn't run since both tyres went flat cos I never got around to taking the wheels in to get new rubber (long story but some people that moved stole my tools blah).

Cheers.

HAHA bet we would get some looks going through town like that. Unfortunatly both the tyres are flat. Sidewalls went out or something. If anything the bike only weighs 73Kg according to it's stats sheet. I'll just strap it to my back and ride home on my bike.

Well if you strap it to your back.... then you had better post up some pics of that... and another one of you sitting on the bike with a bike on your back as well.

A50, pull the front and rear wheel, and it'll go in the boot of a medium size car (watch petrol leaks though).

I've carried 125s plenty of times thus. It'll hang out the back of the boot , hang a flag and tie it in and tie the boot lid down.

Rear goes in first tie the forks on full lock

Was thinking something along those lines. Got ahold of Quasi though and he said he's got a trailer sorted though picking it up will have to wait till after 7.

Maybe I should carry it home!

.... but Waylander didn't manage to haul it home on his back on the Virago. He did, however, manage to squeeze it into the boot of his car.

So, all that is left to do is get it to Auckland for the KB spanner evening!!

No doubt he'll wander in here and tell you that it needs a lot of work

If wed is out I'll come thurs, contact you then.

Hey that plant is what I use to tell my roommate where to park. Anything fro the plant forward (the direction the bike is facing) is where I park. If he parks in front of that plant we have a problem... lol

And Motu, that'll be fine. Gives me a chance to show it to my brother and maybe convince him to get another one like it to ride around town instead of a ex-boyracer cage.
