Saw on the news this morning that looters have been going through houses that got hit in the tornado in hobsonville last week. These low life scumbags need a serious lesson, what would you do to them if you had a chance? :devil2:

I'd ask them to find me a decent Breville toasted sandwich maker... the ones where when you close the lid it almost, just almost, cuts the toasties in half. Then I wouldn't pay them for it.

I would give them to Akzel for a day.

I'm left wondering how if even if someone is down on their luck they could go and do this to someone else who is also down on their luck.

But then I guess these are probably carreer criminals, and are not concerned about anyone else. Jail is the only place for them.

Jail is too good for em P dath. A slow bullet to each and every joint, then left to rot as the shit they.
You got to hope that one or more of em are found doing their shit and that they simply end up in hospital, very, very messed up and no one asks questions.
Perhaps then they might get the message, we are sick of low life riff Raff stealing from us.

That would come under the heading of "cruel and unusual punishment". Maybe make them read his posts....

Caseye has the right idea though.

That's assuming they can read of course. But then Axzle can't write so might be a moot point...

I would have thought the authorities would have maybe thought there was a chance of this, just as in Christchurches case, & just maybe been prepared for them??

Well it was interesting after the Chch earthquake to see LAV's cruising around the town.

Only a tank says "make my day punk" better than a 44mag.

Don't know if it's true but I heard that New Orleans police officers who patrolled wrecked areas to deter looters after Katrina started fitting laser sights to the submachineguns they carried.
Seemed like people don't always get fazed by having a gun pointed at them, but if you've got a red dot floating across ya, you assume the position pretty fast.

My initial reaction to these types of lowlifes is a feeling of pure violence towards them. But the world being what it is today, and the whole P.C thing you would never get away with giving them a good kicking. I think some form of public humiliation would be in order, tar and feathering and running around the neighborhoods they were pilferring from would be a good start, but that too would upset many. Whats the answer.:devil2:

Why not. A much better class of fauna.

My kids would love a giraffe for christmas, and I've always wanted my own personal chimpanzee.

They're almost everywhere in Africa - you can't avoid them. As soon as you step off the plane they'll be there at the airport trying to scam you.

I live in the Hobby housing area. Was at work on the base when the Tornado hit and it was a while before we knew how bad it was. Luckily I knew the wife and kids were out for the day but wasn't too concerned for them but had to walk quite a distance to check out the house. The closer I got to home, the worse the damage was but when I got to our house it was virtually untouched!!!!

TV Aerial missing, gutter pulled down on side of house, gutter and downpipe smashed aat back corner, 2 boards pulled off bottom of house, tin bit missing off top of chimney, cracked fibrolite where object smashed downpipe. 100 x 100 fence post snapped and top of one 100 x 25 (or whatever) snapped where something hit it. The bathroom was full of leaves, dust and grass because the window had been open and water had been blown around some of the windows in the lounge. Two windows have tiny holes of about 1mm in them, caused by grit or a very small stone I guess. Both trampolines still in yard but small one was upside down. Clothes were all around the yard form the washing line.

All I had to do was brush down the walls of the house, clean the bathroom, pick up the clothes, do around the windows and 2 days later when the power was back on we moved straight back in.

Unfortunately some of my workmates are less fortunate and their houses are writeoffs. Immediate neighbours lost bits of roof and suffered water damage inside and houses two away from us are virtually destroyed. Bizarre the way the damage was spread around.

The emergency services were awesome and the Air Force, PAE and many other contractors have worked their butts off checking on people, clearing properties for safety, reconnecting power, keeping people updated and so on. Big thanks to all of them. Even had some Air Force people dropping off cooked sausages and bread donated ny Mad Butcher. Excellent.

If you knew anything about Katrina you would understand how absurd the concept of deterring looters was, given the situation. When people have no food or water for days on end because the authorities fail miserably to provide help, looting should be the least of anybody's concern, unless you care more about a few bottles of water and food rotting in flooded shops than you do about people's lives. Katrina is one of the saddest chapters in the history of the USA and they have their fair share of sad chapters.

Correct - Don't get me wrong, I'm sympathetic toward those whose houses have been damaged or written off and who have suffered from this incident. However, the reaction to a small amount of looting seems a tad excessive.....Particularly when the damage will be repaired relatively quickly and this incident will fade in the memory.

When the history of the ChCh quakes is finally written honestly - maybe in 30 or 40 years time - the one thing that is going to shine through is just how badly the residents were shafted by central Government....

Your looters are only novices compared to CERA and Brownlie.....

Unless you're just thinking of just blowing out thier knee caps.

I think knee caps would be enough to discourage them from further illigal activities on their behalf

The Christchurch land situation has been described as "theft by rezoning".

Now that's just not true at all. When they saw how bad shit was down here, they immediately leaped into action to use the state of emergency to put through legislation to *really* help us. They had the vision and foresight to see that our real problem wasn't the hundreds of deaths or lack of power, water and sanitation, it was that far more insidious of foes: Pirates!
Hell, after having identified our *true* problem, they even managed to rush the three-strikes legislation through so quickly that none of the <strike>ignorant sheep they were screwing</strike> respected citizenry they were helping had any idea what a marvelous display of <strike>corruption</strike> leadership they were about to witness until it'd already been enacted.
So to see people claiming they were inactive and indecisive is just plain insulting to our fine, upstanding, in-no-way-in-the-MAFIAA's-pockets government is just downright offensive!

I'm surprised this government didn't just get Gerry to comdemm Kimdotcom's mansion and send in the demolition men....

Hahaha well i was thinking how this was all getting a little off topic......but then thought a little harder, as one does sometimes & realised the government could well be classed as looters also.
Theres quite a bit they take without asking or without even caring who the hell owns it......so yea....still on topic in my view :msn-wink:
