The Kinect is a surprisingly good device, especially for the money. Very easy to code for; skeletal tracking is basically native to it. I was surprised as I indeed assumed it was a glorified web cam.

Time to get into TV advertising... I mean for fooksake, if you're gonna get it on and aren't using a condom, a TV Ad telling you that you should be wearing one will be just a click away. Why pay for stuff (ala Sky). Throw up videos from the HTPC now and then, but for the most part, watch normal broadcast. Freeview has enough, I don't need any motivation to be watching more...

yea but I'm sure you're talking PC where it has some uses (for people that like to tinker). On it's main platform it is little more than an overpriced glorified microphone (that potentially spies on you)
