Hey all,

I have my old Ventura bike stand up for grabs if anyone wants it. I had a big van crash (with the bike in the back) a year or so ago and since the van got written off, I have just been using a hire trailer. It is a bit bent, but with a little work it'll be repairable.

The bonus is, it's free but the catch is you have to come and pick it up from Wellington, Lyall Bay area. If there is no interest, I'll just take it to the tip but thought someone might want it on here.

Cheers
Luke

Whats it look like?

I googled it to see if it's what I'd need but didn't come up with anything in the images

Thanks, definitely something I'm interested in - though club mate in the local Welly region would pick it up

Can any of you lot weld or know someone that can weld? Seriously...make one. I taught myself how to weld last year by making a couple. I found the plans off the net (might still have them somewhere) and they ended up costing my about $80 for the both of them - half of that was for 2 stainless bolts. The steel was mates rates as well but they really are a piece of piss to wipe up.

If you or a mate has some steel lying around even better.

Free + pickup vs going out and buying bar stock, cutting it to size, welding it, tidying up, going out and buying some paint or dropping off to a powdercoater

Well, since you so kindly offered your welding and manufacturing skills, could you help a fellow KBer out and make me one for the Bonnie?

Oh yeah I know. Definitely go with the free choice or dirt cheap to buy. They're always the better options :) I was just mentioning it because all the people that seem to be dead keen on one on the cheap. I was until I bit the bullet.

She'll be rough as guts and rangi looking :D I'll PM you a pic of ours. If I get around to it tonight.

Once I get a house with a garage, in goes a torch. I presume I'll end up at A&E a couple of times :innocent:
