Hi guys, i had asked this question on www.rgv250.co.uk but the forums there are pretty quiet.

I had my bike at Ruapuna and it felt like my right carb was occasionally starving of fuel.

I pulled my carbs apart to figure out why and decided to check them against what would be standard.
I found specs for all the carbs here: http://www.rgv250.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/30945-rgv-carb-specifications-all-models/

Firstly my carbs dont have any stamps to tell me what model it is and the jetting doesnt match up to any of the carbs in that link.
What i have got is
Needle: 6FL84-50 (1 clip down from middle)
Needle jet: 597 0-8
Main jet: L260, R270
Pilot jet: 27.5
Air jet: 0.6
Power jet1: L55, R35
Power jet2: 0.7 (Beside the air jet in the carb throat? Manual has this labeled as air screw???)

Anyone here able to help me identify my carbs and suggest what jetting i should be running? Im running after market pipes, o ringed and skimmed heads, standard airbox, standard porting, unrestricted spac and cdi.

Heres a bunch of pics:

Sounds like your running a similar setup to the popular Colin silicorn tune
http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?15557-Tuning-How-to-get-70-BHP

That should hopefully give you some help in regards to tuning the carbs, I would think you have Mikuni TM34SS carbs looking at the pics.
Would also definately reccomend purchasing these so you don't end up stripping out the standard bolts http://www.thetuningworks.co.uk/store/product_info.php?cPath=21_124&products_id=917

There's quite a few knowledgeable people on here in regards to RGV's and the like so im sure you will get some more info later in the morning, and will probably have quite a few replies on the rgv forums soon.

What pipes are you running? as some such as the tyga's can be pretty hard to tune.

I am assuming you have read the spark plugs?

Thanks for the replys.
I actually dont know what pipes im running, there are no stamps on them.
I havent done plug chops, although everytime ive had the bike apart (which is quite regularly at the moment) ive checked the plugs, i know this doesnt truly show what the fueling is doing but the plugs have looked fine.

What i might do is order a few different size main jets (up to 290?), some new needles and a few power jets.

Can someone confirm for me the position of the #2 power jets?

So I have decided to try some 280L/270R main jets, get some new jet needles and another 55 power jet so I can try and make the carbs standard.

I figure I will have to play with needle heights to suit the pipes but can't imagine I will have to change much while running a standard airbox.
