SOLD
A post classic Yamaha XV400 which I bought as an introduction back into motorcycling after a long layoff. The bike servicing is up to date, with oil recently changed in forks, engine, gearbox and rear drive. Valves reset, carburettors set up, front tyre 2,000ks ,rear 3000ks, rear brakes deglazed, Givi windscreen, and altogether a good sound bike. Current WOF and Rego. Comes with cover, Haynes manual, touch up paint.
The distance covered seems to be genuine, which is bourne out by the good condition of the front disc and the rear brake linings. The last owner was 86 and sold it because it was not being used .... I am only 72 so have a few years yet hence the new bike I have replaced it with.
It is a perfect commuter bike and runs very well.

Tasty looking bike :) Shouldn't be too hard to sell!
How small is that fuel tank though! :eek5:

The fuel tank is under the seat and the top tank shape only covers the aircleaner, wiring etc. Yes, it is small at 8.6 litres however at 20k per litre one does get a reasonable mileage out of a tank.

Hey Sub, not likely mate my garage now has two of Yamaha's masterpieces in it, they both go, they are both XV's, OK, ones really a TR1 but hey who's taking notes.
Wonderful little bike.
Got a nonda NV 400 Custom that has worn it's head/s out sitting in the same garage, going(well priced) to a good home, where the new owner might be handy with head gasket work, otherwise a beaut machine, shod well, got good pipes, excellent upholstery, custom made pack rack and paint job.

I'd neva in a gazillion years intimate such a henious thing!
Nope just by way of information projection in the hope that some poor deluded Nonda person might claim it as their own.

I have a xv400. Engine has some major internal damage. (yet to be diagnosed) quick question. A xv750 of the same era would the motors be interchangeable with no major changes.
