Have any RC8 owners had trouble with squeeling rear brakes, just imported one from the UK, from the history its suffered same problem over there at some stage. Have removed pads and filed leading edges and copper slip which cured for about 100ks then came back, still have orig brembo pads, wondering if thats the problem?

A cheap option is to definitely replace the pads. Is the rear brake floating? Get some aerosol brake cleaner and clean the crap out of everything in there.

Build up of waxes (from overzealous detailing, etc), oils and brake dust can build up quite a bit of sediment and give noise and even what can appear to be a bit of a warped disc.

BTW, Nice bike, show us a pic :)

Spray some silicone spray on the disk.

I'd remove the pads, lightly sand the surface to remove any 'oils' clean the disk with brake cleaner. Try again now that both mating surfaces are clean. If it keeps squeaking replace pads.

If the pads are held on sliding pins then check that there are no problems, wear marks etc with the pins or spring plates that are holding the pads onto the disk. If the pads are not coming off the disk then even a little pressure can cause squeal.
