Silicone spray. Yes or no?

I been using silicone spray on my fairings and seat. I love how shiny it makes it look but it means you have to wash it every week. Is this a Yes or a No thing to use on your fairing?

It is up until the point you need to apply more paint. Getting it off will double the cost of a paint job. Painters hate it.

NO,it is not friendly on paint.
It can soak through it and when it does it causes crazing and spider webbing.
Plus if you ever want to repaint it you might struggle to find a painter that will touch it.

If the OP was to google "polish" ... a suitable paint friendly product could be found.

However ... It would take few minutes to apply properly. Hence his preference for a "spray on" product ...

just make sure you don't get it on that fire-proof fluro jacket. it might wreck the fireproof, or the fluro, and we'd hat to see that.

on second thoughts.... don the fluro, spray it with the spray, and light a match.
