Just a wee heads up for anybody who may be interested. Renntec in the UK are going to be producing a one off batch of engine bars for MkI & MkII TDM's. They are designed for MkI's but fit the newer bike with a bit of a squeeze on the radiator hose. Nobody who has them has had a problem with this. I'm keen for a pair but postage down here is prohibitive. If any KB'ers are interested I would be very happy to share postage on getting more than one pair into the country.
At the moment cost excluding postage will be about 55 pounds + vat. Less than $150 by my reckoning. Manufacture time will be 4 - 5 weeks. I will be ordering directly through Renntec.
For more info get in touch. Cheers.

Had a set on my old Tedium. They double as excellent footrests too :-) Wonder if they'll fit the 9 hundy?

Sadly not I fear, but I believe Renntec do do bars for the 9hundy.

You have hit the nail on the head, though. Not just idiot protection but touring pegs, light mounts, camera mounts etc.

The price, if correct, is very sharp. Somebody is selling the same bars for 90+ quid on flea bay!

Even with postage I doubt I could get a good pair made for anywhere near that price.
