Anyone in Wellington able to pick up a canopy and send down South?

Long shot for sure but worth asking,am looking at a canopy on trade me and seller says pick up only (Jville) and am wanting it sent down south with a decent mover of such things,more than happy to cover costs for time/effort + beer money....

Yep,its a canopy for an XR8 Falcon ute.

i got a price from Jeffs to bring a 8x4 trailer from wellington to dunedin, $1300 and they were going to tow it not carry it almost a half the cost of the trailer

:laugh:Yea fair call,Johnsonville pick up and sent down to Oamaru.The more i get into this it seems i may just have to wait for one to come up for sale down here,freight charges are huge.

Prolly cheaper to jump into the ute and pick it up, fit it, get shitfaced in Welly for a day or two and then drive back down again.

If it was the off season i probably would mate,would love to have a look around Wellington as it would have changed heaps since i lived there.

Either a freight, or furniture removal company ... will pick it up (hold it at their yard) and send it south on the next truck going south.

Thinking ive been a bit bull at a gate,will hold off until something comes up in Dunners or Christchurch and just pick it up myself.

Found one in Dunners and just hit buy now,nice canopy with interior light/roofrack etc.Be nice to take a trip down there i havent been there for about 10 years:laugh:Bonus is its pretty close to the utes colour so doubt i will bother getting it painted.

Did some research and it seems we got a good buy,the canopys an Aussie made one by "Carryboy",had a look through some reviews on the ford forum and there only complaint was the price $5000 new :weird:but very good quality,interior light,spoiler with inbuilt stop light,metal frame and smoth fibre finish.Couldnt manage to take the pic off trademe but heres one from the wesite,well chuffed.

Job done,just got back from Dunners with canopy bought and on,nice unit though needs a coat of paint,looks ok in the pic but not in the light of day,wont cost bugger all to give it a spray.:niceone:
