Has any one got a phone number for Akunar. I got directories to check the one on their website but it wont work.
They owe me some bits I paid for. Now they wont return my emails.

Have been through my many emails with them, the ones about bent rings, dodgy camshafts etc etc, but his email signature was always the same, just Akunar.com, nothing else.
He could just be on holiday? Bomb his inbox with emails, you're sure to get a response.

They are on Facebook, too. Put up a few negative comments, nothing like bad advertising.

Super old post that still seems to show up in searches so thought i would put my 2cents in. Whats the deal with the public bashing? I dont recall any issues that warranted any such public bashing. Akunar back up everything apart from dodgy instillations and even have done on several occasions so if there were communication issues at this time or what not. Big apologies. Any fitment issues or what not, big apologies but the public bashing? Seriously... were the parts even bought from (akunar in Thailand only)? There is assholes out there imitating the buisness with several fake sites and facebook pages which we monitor and take slow legal action against which for the most part doesnt seem to get anywhere but seriously.... If there is an issue get a tissue but if ypu feel something is wrong then drop me an email and we will take care of it. akunar.com@gmail.com. not so difficult right? well back up and assist with whatever the problem is.
As far as i know there shouldnt be or had been any issues at the time but seriously...
If those problems were resolved i think its about time this post got deleted!

Unless a thread/post has been deleted by a mod at the request of the Original Poster(=OP) or because it's content was thought to be injurious to others in some way it won't be taken down.
You have by posting here now shown another reason why they should not be deleted, as you've now had a chance to say your piece in defence of the supposed (but hardly) wronged person/company. Post a bit more often, be seen around here and most importantly reply to emails etc and perhaps you'll have even more people using akunar.

No more time wasting and probably unecessary defamtion... Drop me a mail to akunar.com@gmail.com with the details and ill check whatever it is. Ranuka you are talking to a sizable audience here. The lack of maturity in your replies leaves me thinking you're more likely to be an internet Troll than a Genuine representative of Akuna.

A lot of work and a little money goes into developing these bikes. And as everyone pretty much does their own work there might be a bit of a market here for Akuna products. It will be interesting to see how you resolve the issue with Gigglebuttons missing parts.

Its Akunar. :brick: No, no fair comments but i guess the saying is thats the pot calling the kettle black? No need to take the comedic comments the wrong way guys...But, seriously.... Anyway, let me say. Good stuff! Nice pics. Yes, we have been selling and making custom stuff specifically for several guys in NZ for a very very long time. I see several guys names that i recognize. There is some interesting threads actually since having a look through. Look, to be fair. Im trying to fix up a loose end. If more Biz did this nowadays the world would be a better place?. I am owed ridiculous amounts and deal with a range of issues. We all do. Its life. I just want to know where to send money or parts. If it turns out this stuff was sent yet never arrived due to delivery issues this seems a little unfair to post such comments. Clearly im unaware of the issues that is really quite old. Regardless, if someone knows gigglebottom personally. Tell him to drop me an email with specifics on what it was, transaction details and such and its as good as fixed!!!!. Really shouldn’t be so difficult right? If i had to jump in forums and post how many parts i didnt get or were wrong all hell would break loose. Anyway, a wize kiwi once told me that you cant please everyone. Well, thats true but i can certainly try so if someone wants to get gigglebutton to email me so i know what it is im to fix if anything that would be great.

FXR150 clutch gears
Tracking numbers = none, as you did not send the parts to me.
I have been very patient and shown you the utmost respect over my dealings with you. Even when I had waited over six months for my gears.
Two years after I posted this, you attack me & imply I am lying. When all I did was tell the truth and try to find a way of contacting you, when you where obviously hiding from me, as I had sent many emails & tried calling you.
Once I found, from this post, you had a Facebook page I messaged you and had some contact with you or one of your staff and eventually received some engine parts 6 months after they had been ordered. But still I did not received the clutch gears.
I messaged you twice more on F/B but you did not reply.
You have wasted a huge amount of my time. Through me trying to track you down through emails, F/B messages and phone calls.
I eventually thought you were someone who could not be trusted and gave up the chasing you.
If you like I can post on here, the dated content of my F/B messages to Akunar. To prove to you and everyone reading this, that you did know about the gears and that I was trying to sort this out with you and not as you say, someone who is "unnecessarily defaming" you and your company
You once again have my name and know the parts I paid for and never received.
Once again I will message you on F/B, email you from my Hotmail and work email. I will also message you on Kiwibiker as you say, you are a "Nob" and cant sort it out

Wow, finally. Aright, no need for an attitude. Lets get this sorted. I have the recollection that these clutch gears in the end couldn’t be made up with angled Teeth or something as originaly desired and ended up sending a straight teeth set. Unfortunately i really cant recall what was the agreement with being unable to end up producing such or what happened. Im sure there was some sort of compensation but in this case i have absolutely no idea. Anyway, we can make those gears. Takes near a month though with the current work load so as a favor not having absolutely any recollection of what was the result which may in fact turnout your correct given the time and nature of this. Im going to send the funds back immediately and if you ever wanted gears to be made up well thats your choice. If you have a PayPal Address please messege or email it to akunar.com@gmail.com and i will refund the $118 USD Ok? We good? I have to say i do sincerely apologize. I dont really know where the fault lies here but i think it is my duty to offer a refund immediately regardless. We good?

It would have originally been a set of straight cut primary gears for Gigglebuttons racing FXR150, see a lot of people here already know the story.

Guys I don't want to be the voice of reason here because lets face it. Its well know I do tend to love an argument.
It looks to me that the guy joined Kiwibiker and seen a thread about him and his company and he didn't realise it was years old.
All the other stuff I have seen about his company seems to indicate it has pretty good service.
Plenty of people here seem to use his products.
To me there does seems to be a series of genuine misunderstandings.
So let the two people work it out without the banter that does likely doesn't translate into another language.
The guy seems pretty reasonable so why not just give him a chance.
We wouldn't want him to think Kiwis less than reasonable to deal with.
Mr Akunar (Ranuka Davis) might then be interested in including some other products into his range now he has a forum where he can gauge demand for additional products.

Hi Husaberg, he seems to have known about it for a fair while.
Google Akunar and this thread comes up at about fourth in the list so I guess Ranuka is trying to get rid of the negative reflection from letting Gigglebutton down.
But your right, hearing more about the technical aspects of Akunar products would be interesting.

I think you are misreading his post Fred the one he quoted refers to the thread being still here. I don't think he realises it can't be deleted.
He is also either translating with the computer or speaking in his second or third or maybe 5 language.
He has clearly said he is concerned and he will refund or sort it another way. I would say he deals with a lot of stuff so unfortunately shit happens occasionally.
There was another thread I will see if I can find it.
I have to say Akunar are awesome to deal with, especially if you deal with the main man direct, Rakuna Davis. I ordered cams and o/s piston a while ago and it never arrived :( He was good enough to send replacement parts. Bit of a cock up all round. NZ Post had no record of it even arriving in the country but the original package turned up back at the Thailand Post Office, after apparently making it's way to NZ but being unable to be delivered as the address on the parcel wasnt correct. Was just a shame that NZ Post still insisted they had no record of it here in NZ, oops :tugger:.
Anyway you can email him direct and ask what you want regarding the FXR, sales@akunar.com Just ask about 1mm oversize valves, H/D valve springs etc. Apparently it appears that some FXR's here in NZ have FXR125 cam shafts in them, some have a 6mm bolt for the cam sprocket and some have a 5mm bolt (125). They also use to do a complete head, with oversize vales, springs, race cams etc but unfortunately it's too expensive now as they need to source a new head.

Thanks for the down to earth comments husaberg and gav. Let me just say I just want to pay the man what i most likely owe regardless. If anyone can give me a heads up whether hes at the same address hes been at for the past couple years without divulging private info obviously im happy to send the man a cheque in the mail i guess. Its a method i will try just to resolve the issue. No harm in trying i guess. pm if possible anyone. A little outrageous of an approach but its the right thing to do because i cant get a reply just yet.
better throw this in there. (Firefox/Ubuntu) forum is supper buggy. Words delete, completely, disappear....
Bit of a comment with regards to the NZ Post. They are pretty good and i have actually had to get in contact with them before and like most postal services they weren’t quick to listen but eventually did and did sort one package out for us that seemed to disappear yet to trun up weeks later than should at the desired address. I think this is a global problem :)
There is a problem if you could call it that with eco type airmail deliveries that dont register as traceable in NZ. For an example a package was just received here sent from NZ that didnt have tracking results available in NZ at all. As soon as it hit here it was traceable and vice versa. It does create a scenario where if something does go missing in nz it may turn up or it may not and can cause headaches for buyers and sellers. More Exp tracking is better for piece of mind but i guess thats the reasoning behind the different methods and pricing. Common sense.
with regards to the comments from a few individuals. The forum is what it states to be. A Biker forum! Catering not for the sole purpose of harming a small biz in another countries reputation with ridiculous slurs or trying to instil hidden agendas by posting key search words and so on in the hope of defaming a business whos reputation isnt important to the vast forum community but we do play an intrigal part regardless all be it not directly. It is a forum for a vast community of enthusiasts and whether people realize it or not the rest of the world does see this and make judgments of character based on whats being said. The motives are blindingly obvious. The thread is not Biker related in its tone to begin with. Motives blatantly obvious. Im not ignorant enough to think its more than just a small few that act like this but they should be aware that its not helping anyone make good assumptions nor is it getting someone some money. Not productive.
With regards to the parts we make and sell.... Im not about to purposely step on anyones toes because we do sell to several different bike classes, shops, online shops that resell and even backyard hobbyists in nz. Not alot but consistently. People know where to get a hold of us anyway ;)
Anyway at the end of the day i just want to pay the man some money! Pretty reasonable.

Paranoid???? If you feel offended and are right, some examples of key search words and the sole intent to harm and the blindingly obvious motives might be good.
So instead of throwing ridiculous slurs around maybe stick to the facts and try your hand at pointing out something that has been said that isn't actually factual.
Personally I think people have given you a lot of room and you have been treated very fairly considering your own provocative comments.
