I guess one of the good things from the You Tube era is that you can watch TV from all around the world.
The Brits have the best of any IMO.
If you haven't already, Mitchell is worth a look on '10 Oclock Live' - a more serious commentary effort, but early series of 'Mock the week' have some great rants and so too on '8 Out of 10 Cats'.
Also well worth the search-age is anything by Charlie Brooker. 'Never mind the Buzzcocks' is a crack up too.
The down side of the You Tube era is that reading the comments section can suck the will to live from your brain.
