I have had my nice shiny ZXR250c back about...2 months since having had it resprayed thanks to a kind office lady knocking it over. Nice new white and green.
Now thanks to a lovely Bus driver from STAGECOACH hitting me on the corner of Carrington and Grt Nrth Rds, my exhaust is scratched and my nice shiny front fearing is now nice and scratched and cracked...
Could be worse, he could have ridden the damn thing over.
Any one got an idea on how much it will cost to get the front faering plastic welded and re sprayed??

Surely, if you weren't at fault, the price is irrelevant?
Your bike should be repaired at their cost, you will probably have to lodge a claim against Stage Coach.

if they run over/into your bike and damage it I would be going striaght to the company and asking them nicely to pay for the damage. If they say no then I would be telling them they are paying for the damage.

ahh fuck man. you dont have his details? (only need rego)
I know from the past your gonna have a hard time getting stagecoach to admit liabilty. just like truck drivers, they dont report it to their boss cos they will get in trouble so they just forget about it.
but good luck anyway

I got kncked off my bike (one with pedals) after a bus half passed me then turned so sharp it jumped the kerb, I was between said bus and the kerb doing about 40k's at the time and wearing one layer of lycra you feel every stone you land on. A bus from the same company (Ritchies) was following and that driver stopped and asked if I was ok, he also gave me his details, the operations managers details and the other bus drivers name. The operations manager admitted it had happened but wouldn't pay the repairs bill. He wanted me to go through the courts and I couldn't afford the time off work to follow the whole thing up. My legal aid said that that is really common and a lot of bus companies want you to do all the work and if it gets right through to a court date might try to pay the bill or settle a day or two prior. They figure most people can't or wont be able to follow it up so thay can save themselves some dough. The operations manager did say "so what, it's not like your the first person to get hit by a bus, I've got more impoertant things to worry about". The cop investigating wasn't surprised either and said busses hit cars or people almost every day.

Yep that is pretty much wat i have been told. That there is little they can do for me since i dont have the guys details. But hell, the prick drove off before i had a chance...
I dunno, might be too much effort and time to get them to pay, worst comes to worst, i will pay to fix it myself and send them an invoice...
I am just pissed that i didn't get to do it to the bike myself then, i mean...couldn;t i have some good story about getting low in a corner, hitting a rabbit running on the road and sliding it?? Ahh well, guess this wil have to do... :oi-grr:

Report it to the police as a Hit and Run. Something will happen then.
