After my slip and slide - my nice pair of Hein Gericke Pro Sports summer riding gloves are on a one way trip to the Bin.

I am looking at a replacement - unfortunately Hein Gericke stuff doesn't seem to be sold over here (they were originally bought in the UK)

Am looking for a Summer glove - preferably Kangaroo Leather like the Gericke gloves - lots of Armoury bits on the knuckles/breakable parts of my hand and nice and cool for when I get back on my Stallion of Steel

Yeah, you won't find those big brands in lil ol NZ. Innotesco in Oz does have Rukka though.

I've just started using a pair of these: http://qmoto.co.nz/gear-shop.php#!/~/product/category=8432979&id=32765026

Kangaroo on the palm side, SPS on the wrist area, I would have liked a double flap over the wrist though (previous model did have a double enclosure, but there you go).

edit: It doesn't seem to say, but I thought it was Kangaroo in the palm area... pass.

Mate, just buy HG and get them sent to a rellie/mate and the pay them the postage to send em. You won 't find similar locally. This, from me who wears camel toe HG in winter, HG kangaroos in summer, and Spidi mid seasons the rest of the time.

Those Q Moto's are bloody good gear, never had to try em out on the slidy thing, but they lasted a good 4 years or so.

Try to get ones with palm sliders, thats the most important feature in my eyes.

Snapped wrists suck.

I get most of my stuff from the US. Buying locally would cost me about double on most things, even taking shipping into account.
Never used Hein Gericke but i would get them sent over if you've got a certain favourite pair rather than buy something you might not be happy with.
I am happy with my Alpinestars SP2s. Actually, on my second pair cos i lost one a while back :(

Revit Monsters, on the hook at Motomail for about $120. I've had a pair for about 8 or 9 years & they're still selling them today - good gloves.

They also don't say aught about sizes.

What size are yours? And what do your hands measure up at?

Not much cop for them is it... I've owned several pairs, so I know I'm a 2XL. Also a Revit 2XL, but I'm pretty borderline, a slightly smaller glove and I wouldn't fit it.

Uh, what measurements do you want?

I found the sizes on their site after all. But XXL is it.

I tried on every pair of summer gloves in every outlet at Barrys point when I came through there last month, and I've tried every shop in Wgtn since. There was two I could actually force on at a pinch, but no way could I wear them.

In theory my knuckle measurement at 260mm should fit a XXXL glove, but I've tried half a dozen XXXXL gloves that are too small to get on.

I have the Knox Handroids which are comfortable and cool. They have maintained their fit better than any other gloves I have owned. They were a present bought through Qmoto.co.nz. If i were buying new gloves I would go for Held Phantoms http://www.racesupplies.co.nz/products/rider-product-number-three/ I have read and watched on youtube a few rave reviews on them from different sources.

Wear them on your hands, not your feet.

Only thing to be careful of with the Knox tightening mechanism, is that it's too bulky if you're trying to put most jacket sleeves over the top of the gloves.

RST moto pilot or trachtech. Cheper to buy in the uk and get them shiped here than buying them here. Also check out FC moto in germany

Those look kinds similar to the ones I used

About the right price that I am expecting to pay - may have to find out some dets about sizing

Personally in a glove I was looking for:
-Palm sliders / scaphoid protection
-Armoured knuckles on a separate piece of leather (so they can move)
-Ventilation
-Extra leather in certain areas e.g. outer side of hand
-Roo or similar palm
-Web between ring&pinkie

I ended up going with these (http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/scorpion-sgs-gloves) as a summer glove. Got all my tickboxes except the pinkie webbing.

Many prefer the gauntlet style glove, but these shorties are unbeatable on a hot day. Shipped to NZ they were competitively priced compared with other gloves. They do a gauntlet style (http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/scorpion-sg3-gloves) as well, dearer tho.

Winter glove wise I have some Macna things (terrible) and some Darbi things (average). Will get some decent winter ones at some point
