Think my arm prevents me from more then a Formula Tokoroa, and maybe a swing on a sidecar if it remains a non GP event. Thought it was coming right, but a week back at work and it has flared up a bit. So might have to be a GP 'Movie-man' on this occasion.

See how it progresses.

Hoping for the sidecars being an official GP, if riders or swingers are needed to make numbers I selflessly volunteer.

Dave Manuel on Greens bike! I don't think anyone can seriously challenge him (maybe Av?), unless of course Dave D has found some extra horsepower for Nathaniel's bike.
Im still weighing up on offering my bike to a certain rider (as Im probably not going to be around). That may well put the cat amongst the pigeons.

The shear number of 4T bikes and good riders and the ease of 4T power delivery.

Yes on paper the 2T's look like they should have it all sown up but its not like that on the track.

On the ESE thread Frits has talked about how the wave action in the pipe collapses when a 2T throttles off and when its turned back on again the noise returns but there is a delay before the wave action builds up and the 2T starts making real power again. It seems the delay is just enough for the 4T's to get an advantage out of the corners.

I am not sure what the answer is, maybe CVT.

Any way I am certainly working on the 2T drive out of corners problem, and will hopefully find a solution so 2T's can once again take their rightful place at the head of the table ... :first::second::third:... all day long.... then I will build an extra special 4T.... and start over again http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

We are still banging away at MNZ to get the updated entry form with the upgrade on it uploaded to their web site.
Should be soon.

So GP Clockwise or Counterclockwise? Who wants to run a poll on this one?

Or is there a valid reason to run it in the one direction, ie transponders, safety, etc...:sherlock:

What's ya thoughts!

Henk

Maybe we should run the F5 GP clockwise and F4 anticlockwise, at the same time, any sidecars can start off the back of the grids and make up their own minds but only use the top part of the circuit.

Updated entry form is on the MNZ website now, probably better to use the one on here though. And please mail the form in as well as depositing money, we need to be able to link the two so we can get back to MNZ with the list of names for the upgrade licences.

That was hard work for me to find the date of the event... I must be getting old! Don't get your hopes up Henk... I don't have a running bucket yet. Still need an RS chamber and a rear slick at least. And time. Time...

Henk
19th February 2014, 16:23
For those getting licences now and needing the upgrade.
Please get the upgrade/entry forms in as soon as you can as we have to run them past MNZ. This may mean you have to hassle MNZ to push them through or possibly get them to flick through your licence number.

So what the hell has happened? We are only a few weeks out and the mud slinging has hardly started! Don't tell me that everyone has grown up and is hard at work prepping bikes already ( ok so I did just come in from the shed but it is too flicking hot to sleep anyway).

Or maybe every one just doesn't care anymore. Sigh, not what it used to be.

I think $50 is just the start of it, as I understand it, first you have ride in the same race, then submit the paperwork naming the exact infringement you are protesting about and pay your $50 within 30min of the race finishing. To discourage fishing expeditions only the exact infringement named in the protest is considered and if your wrong you get to pay a further $250 or is it $450 now? to the owner to cover costs.

Everyone saw inside it a few years ago, didn't cost us a cent (suspect Rich was out a few $ though). Even got to take a few bits home (found them they other day in a clean up)
