We ride guys and gals...but we have to eat, replenish and even savour the flavour of Caffeine....
This of course includes Latte stops Iain and company :)

Show us the places you go for lunch, Coffee, Breakfast and Dinner, preferably with a bike or bikes in the photographs.
It can be a picnic, a full three course dinner or our local take-away bar in town....

Planning on heading out in the morning for a ride, maybe breakfast at Subway somewhere, lunch, who knows...?
So, let's share and see what eventuates....I bet there are some weird and wacky places we dine and wine and whine aye? :)
spill the beans over some beans...:) as they say...

I reckon we could even plan a ride from Cafe to Caravan to pie stop, to takeaway...Throughout New Zealand. :2thumbsup
Hmm, food and coffee for thought?

Looking forward to contributions....

Rimutex (Caltex station north of Upper Hutt) seems to be the gathering point of choice for rides over the 'tukas and beyond. Has an on-site Subway, plus all the usual shit that gas stations sell.

The best place we always go back to: Angel Louise in Raetihi.

We stay locally on our "Lost Weekends" and go there for dinner, man, Angel knows how to put on a feed!

Thumpa, yer old news, the fat bikers have a thread on this subject and it's alive with suggestions.
For me Viands in Kihikihi is the Numba 1! stop for pies.
Their seafood pie, complete with prawn tail inside and out the top is awesome.

Here ya go mate.
Fill yer boots.

Next, Photos....of and where you scoffed!
Mouth closed when chewing please, and a good snap of the sights...biker and scenery...
Maybe, your culinary delights too. :)

On a side note...
Thinking, as you do...
Going to a plumbing merchant, buying a cylinder to house my foot long...
Call it the .....dunno?
Just in case it shakes around a bit on those metal roads. Nothing worse than having all of your lunch shared with tool kit, rain gear and
such...
Had that experience after the great pies I bought to take home from Raetahi....
That was my newbie experience, forgetting and being focused only on hitting the bumps and trails...Doh!

Thing is....
Why eat on the side of the road etc?
Hence the name, should'a gone there first for advice....
BUT, I ain't looking for places to eat but rather where and share....like you guys.
Happy eating!
I want to see the sights and the grub......Not the Tar Seal...
Show me a good campfire in the Pureora forest, or the Kaimanawa....etc

Yip - made in Roxborough with road kill off the Dunstan.
In consideration to Adv riders, no dribbly gravy but plenty of pepper to keep you sharp through the Serpentine.

Just posted in the MTB for people going up there for club trip, Kaiaua Fisheries, nothing like a few cold Wild Turkeys and fresh snapper. Miranda hotpools and also the topten holiday park just up road too...
Grand Central Fry in Turangi used to be highly recommended but seemed to be new cooks there last time and burgers weren't quite as awesome as they used to be.
Recently with Classic club been to Jarks Waimarama, and Royal Arms Hotel Norsewood, both great.
In Wellington last week round by Owhiro Bay, ok but expected a bit more from a city café...

Stopped here after being soaked to the skin and was looked after very well by a couple of elderly ladies.
They put the wet gear over the cold range and tea and scones to boot.
Tuataupere is the spot on a cold wet day.

That bakery place on the coast to coast where we stopped in the morning would have to rate as one of the best bakeries in NZ from my experience.
Also the bakery place in Reefton was bloody awesome to us adv riders during the Nth Isalnd invasion - free coffees !
