The Subway, best deli and take away thread for ADV riders. Oh and coffee!

We ride guys and gals...but we have to eat, replenish and even savour the flavour of Caffeine....
This of course includes Latte stops Iain and company

Show us the places you go for lunch, Coffee, Breakfast and Dinner, preferably with a bike or bikes in the photographs.
It can be a picnic, a full three course dinner or our local take-away bar in town....

Planning on heading out in the morning for a ride, maybe breakfast at Subway somewhere, lunch, who knows...?
So, let's share and see what eventuates....I bet there are some weird and wacky places we dine and wine and whine aye?
spill the beans over some beans... as they say...

I reckon we could even plan a ride from Cafe to Caravan to pie stop, to takeaway...Throughout New Zealand.

Hmm, food and coffee for thought?

    Looking forward to contributions....

Rimutex (Caltex station north of Upper Hutt) seems to be the gathering point of choice for rides over the 'tukas and beyond. Has an on-site Subway, plus all the usual shit that gas stations sell.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

The best place we always go back to: Angel Louise in Raetihi.

We stay locally on our "Lost Weekends" and go there for dinner, man, Angel knows how to put on a feed!

Thumpa, yer old news, the fat bikers have a thread on this subject and it's alive with suggestions.
For me Viands in Kihikihi is the Numba 1! stop for pies.
Their seafood pie, complete with prawn tail inside and out the top is awesome.

    Here ya go mate.
    Fill yer boots.

    Okay, gathering momentum it seems...

Next, Photos....of and where you scoffed!
Mouth closed when chewing please, and a good snap of the sights...biker and scenery...
    Maybe, your culinary delights too.

    On a side note...
    Thinking, as you do...
Going to a plumbing merchant, buying a cylinder to house my foot long...
    Call it the .....dunno?
Just in case it shakes around a bit on those metal roads. Nothing worse than having all of your lunch shared with tool kit, rain gear and
    such...
Had that experience after the great pies I bought to take home from Raetahi....
That was my newbie experience, forgetting and being focused only on hitting the bumps and trails...Doh!

    Happy eating!
I want to see the sights and the grub......Not the Tar Seal...
Show me a good campfire in the Pureora forest, or the Kaimanawa....etc

Yip - made in Roxborough with road kill off the Dunstan.
In consideration to Adv riders, no dribbly gravy but plenty of pepper to keep you sharp through the Serpentine.
