Dubious on what the uptake on this might be... or if it's already been done. Good motivation and new rides abound.
North Island Tagorama Adventure style.
Guidelines:
Tag must at least be on gravel road, extra points for tracks.
Tag should be accessible for at least 2 months after posted.
Take photo of your bike in the same approximate position as previous photo.
Take tag at least 50km's (no upper limit) and take new photo of bike (should be at some sort of landmark or easily identifiable location), post clue if needed or asked.
When you post new tag state where the last one was. Maybe even GPS coordinates if you can.
To start...

Clue: Between Te Aroha and Tauranga.
If the weather is to bad over the weekend this may be hard to get, I'll change location if needed :baby: (get it quick)

Well if you think some idiot is gonna head up Thompsons track today?
Delve into the library, and as you see, it has been done before.....the tag idea.
So why waste petrol returning to the same old spots.....

Well if you read the first posrt I mentioned the weather situation and I could change the location.... No-one said it had to be done today anyway.
Ok so the idea has been done before and I take you're not interested, thats fine, there are new people to the sport you know? Who haven't been to all the "old spots"
I was just jesting with Dino anyway, its good he moved the tag.
Lighten up.

It may pay then to state the" rules".when people claim the tag can they say where it was please?

Maybe that was overlooked? Assuming the Waikato and NZ is a small place, everyone knows surely?

:nya: NZ IS a big place.......esp when we get off the beaten track...
That is why a lot of riders trade in their nice shiney bikes for airheads and such like aye...

Ohinewai Rd - it's a long way from Ohinewai, but you get to it from there. I think my shot of the BMW was a couple of days after a big storm, I came down the hill and saw this.
http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/af212/bmwr65/OhinewaiRdslip.jpg
There was no way I was going to get through that, even on a trials bike...apart from lifting it over. while I was pondering the situation, these guys turned up in a ute, took a chainsaw off the back and cut their way through....then I could carry on my way.

The Hunua dams all have toilets, so make a good diversion to have a leak. I've been doing that since the '70's, but now all are locked. Terrorism, or just some arsholes doing burnouts?
Did you do the Mangatangi dam? I was going through the rubbish bins a couple of years ago and found this nice leather bag under some rotting fruit. It has a brass tag with 1975 on it.

Yea Mangatangi was the one I was near, would have to hike to it, bugger that.
Surely not terrorism? Snackbars could still walk to the dams. They just wanna keep nice blokes like me from having a good time skidding around on me bike.
Yea hope you kept that bag she's a beaut...
