I was trying to remove the oil pump from a Vmoto Milan scooter and it seems that I need to remove the clutch unit and some other bits in order to do so. I've removed the main center nut on clutch but the clutch doesnt pull off. Anyone have a service manual or experience with these? Need some direction on how to get the oil pump out. Cheers.

Just to be sure, by clutch, do you mean the variatior at the front (the pully connected to the crankshaft), which does have to be removed to access the oil pump, or the clutch hub at the back by the wheel, which doesn't have to be removed.
In any event, these both come off with once the nuts have been removed, the clutch at the rear some times needs a little prying to come off, but it's on a spline, not a taper.

Ah sorry, I guess I mean the variator at the front, attached to the crank which looks like a big magnet flywheel, it has a little magnetic pickup located on its top rightish corner, it had the plastic fan attached to it as well which is removed now. Do you need any special tools to pull it off once the center nut is removed? I have been applying a fair bit of force to it..
I'll take a pic soon and upload.
All this just to fix an oil leak which I hope is the oil pump..

Found a full service manual online - so all good now.
Vmoto Milan is just a copy of a Yamaha yj50rn , so getting a manual for that was easy with google.
Cheers

In saying that I still can't get the damn thing off. Can it be done without the special puller tool? Iv tried prying it, pulling it, twisting it. Not even a tiny budge

Oh, you are actually talking about the flywheel in this case, it is held on the crank by a taper, and yes, you need the puller, it's a fairly standard item, quite common on auto scooters.
I assure you, it won't come off with out one.

Cheers for that, yea first time pulling a scooter apart - manual refers to it as generator wheel. Makes sense the tool is needed as it wasnt moving an inch! Cheers for the help.. Now i gotta try grt the tool haha..
