The CAMS club turns 25 years young this year and to celebrate we're holding a 3 day Classic and Post Classic race meeting at Levels Raceway Timaru December 5th - 7th 2014. Its the weekend after the Burt Munro so come on down and make a week of it.

Firstly a huge thanks to our major sponsors - Biketranz, TT Industries, Caxton Press, PUB Charity, Classic Cover Insurance.
Also a big thanks to our race class sponsors - Marshlands Engineering/Quad U, Dole New Zealand, Jeff Marshall Motorcycles, NZ Classic Motorcycles, ESPC Services, Wilcock Truck Painters, British Motorcycle Parts, Bryan Ashworth/Ray White, Timaru Metal Recyclers, Motorcycle Exhausts, Spring Lynne Motorcycles, Dynoworx, NZ Cylinders :niceone: cheers All, we couldn't run this event without your help.

We're pumped about this event, it'll be the biggest dedicated Classic and Post Classic event in the South Island, with bikes, sidecars and riders attending from all over NZ, even the odd Aussie.
We're especially excited about the Pre war and vintage classes and have a great field of Classic sidecars keen already + all the Classic and Post Classic classes. There is also Past Masters parade class and supporting F4 and Junior clubmans.
There will be a North Vs South Challenge cup over the weekend, points series and handicap races for all classes.

Practice & qualifying Friday
Racing Saturday and Sunday

We are still finalising details, but at this stage there is a 40 ft container leaving Palmerston North half full of Classic sidecars. It is going to the Burt Munro (Wyndham) then coming back up to the Southern Classic Festival at Timaru then back to Palmie.
There is limited space available in this container for classics and post classic solos. This container is subsidised by CAMS and the Burt Munro. Cost is yet to be full worked out but is likely to be around $250-300 per machine. Limited space first in best dressed.
Contact us if you are interested.

Attached is the entry form/rider info, supplemental regs, poster and newsletter.
We'll keep updating news on the CAMS Facebook page www.facebook.com/CamsClassicActionMotorcycleSport

Any paperwork and downloads are available on the CAMS website www.cams-racing.org.nz

Contact details are on the entry forms.

Rhys Wilson from invercargill, he's a newbie chair driver I think. From memory he has a vintage Rudge with a chair on the side.

I think we also have the Agip chair on display and doing a few laps in past masters as a demo.

Practice sessions all day Friday, Sat & Sun morning will be in 4 groups - slow , med, fast and sidecars
Qualifying will be last session of the day Friday in race groups starting about 2.00pm, those not there will start off the back first race Sat.

Grid positions will be rolling grids based on the previous race group result and be posted after each race at the control tower.
Any one in the wrong position or trying to hard to win will be tazered and started off the back by the grid marshalls.
We reserve the right to make up rules to suit. CAMS events are all about having fun, crashers shout first round at the bar.

pre 81 and post 81 gearboxes are not interchangeable without some mods. Mainly to do with the clutch.

Fortunately for gordie I tore the front right off my solo while binning it at Taupo a few weeks back, so wether it has a gearbox or not is irrelevant at the mo.
Also fortunately for him it was running a '83 gearbox.

CAMS are please to announce the ( your company name here) Southern Classic Festival is on again for 2015.
We have had overwhelmingly positive feedback and huge pressure to run it again so we are.:wings:

Levels Raceway Timaru
Dec 4th, 5th and 6th - the weekend after the Burt Munro.
Same format and classes as last year with some club challenges and handicap races for fun.

More details to follow in coming months.

We are looking for major sponsors and also contacts for interesting riders, famous riders, riders from the past and machines that can race, parade or just be there.

Cheers
