I going down wakefeild st today in the rain and some guy pulled a u-turn infront of me, locked my back brake up and had a big handfull of front brake as I couldnt manouver out of the situation cars comeing up the street and a guy parking, Fantastic I was very very close to have a stack, a little shaken up and a few choice words later I was on my way up queen st, I was in the right lane going straight approaching the lights when a guy in his car lurched fowards from the turning lane to my lane he didnt leave his lane but gave me a fright as I was really edgy grabed some front and rear brake, I dont know what happened but I locked up my front brake im sure I must have gone over a bump as I didnt brake hard enought for it to lock up by its self, I cant really rember the crash and I have a really bad head ache as my head went into a car on my right and my bike stacked into the car infront of me...
Swaped details with the two guys in their cars everything fine, my bike worse for wear mud gaurd, side pod and head light smahed up. Thats fine though because I have full insurance.....
Get home ring up raywin my insurance broker, tell her whats happened.
No insurance, I have orginsed the week before for insurance so thats all cool but she got an email at about 10am two hours before the crash that the insurance company wont insure me as Im a courier and im high risk....
So theres around $500-600 damage to my bike a few hundy wher emy head hit the other car and atleast $1500 to the car in front of me, and to top it all off my helmet has a boof in it so I guess that needs replacing too....
Great timing, Oh and did I mention my bike has just been painted not 2 weeks ago?

you would think huh???

that is what he just asked me.. if i could help.

Unfortunatly, my brokerage is a snob and we deal with snobby insurers, and the premiums i could get.. which is unlikely would be through the roof..!!!!!!

unfortuantly, the downside of age, experience, occupation and now this recent accident... i would almost go as far as to say that he is no uninsurable....

mate really happy about that.. if your broker is worth anythign they should be able to beat and argue the insurance company into submission.
