hey folks
i'm looking at the options of fitting a single wire typw wiring system to one of my bikes and have a central control system that basically sends out a signal, that is received and read at each point, and either acted on if the message is for them, or ignored if it's for another item.
does anyone out there know of such a system?

CANbus is the main one that springs to mind, or I2C devices, as the comms tech to do it; which may or may not help you in your search. Not looked into specific devices for either though; but happy to give an opinion on any you dig up. I think m-unit might be a bike central fuse thing too, they might be a good place to start looking from.

CANBus would be the most common now days due to it being standardized for this application.

If by single wire you mean single conductor that's not really practical, in this application you need a differential pair. At the end of the day the decision on system will depend on what modules you decide on unless you plan to implement the hardware yourself.
