There's an awful lot of people whove moved to Auckland from provincial areas for work and stuff.... but that's another thread....

A few contradictions in there though, not in real danger - but they picked them up anyway as they had not enough food and clothing bad weather etc, so really they were in danger if left there.....????

When I was a young tacker we used to carry noodles. Not as a whole meal. As a base to add bush tucker to. There are a few things that taste awful on their own. Tasty in noodle broth.

Fillet of Jew. It comes with a fat cap that is easily removed and next to no marbeling. I got the Biltong seasoning from the Mangawahi Meat Shop earlier this year. I make some pretty tasty jerky too.

I cut the fat off cause if left long enough it can and will go ransid. Having said that, it never seems to last that long no matter how much I make.
