I spent 2 hrs 10 min on hold trying to talk to some body in Vodafone last night.
To cut a long and booring story short they still have not fixed the problem with our cell phones. The facebook page was very interesting, it is full of pissed off people.
Who ownes Vodafone do they know what a bunch of twats are running the company?

Call Vodafone on their 0800 number and ask to speak to a guy called Russell Stanners. (He's their CEO, and I'm sure he'd love to hear your complaints).

We got so pissed off with the "on hold" phone calls to Vodafone we recently gave up on them and went to another supplier. :angry2: Worst part is having to change our email address and letting our contacts know. Protest with you feet people...did it for me.

Issues with Vodafone? Fuck yes.
There is only one person worth talking to at Vodafone, her name is Trish and from memory her surname is something like Taitini. They won't put you through to the CEO, they probably won't even put you through to the cleaner if you ask. Ask for Trish, she's in what they call "escalations" and is fantastic at her job.

Not had any problems with Voda but surely pissed about them putting up the internet charge "because they can" when our connection does not go through Chorus's lines (we're on cable). Yes it's only $4 /month but the principle remains.

Never had a problem with Vodafone mind you we have our own account manager.
Spark are totally hopeless and yes we have an account manager with them too.

My colleague was on hold with Vodafone when his home internet was down.
He left his desk phone on speaker... went and had lunch... met with a client.... came back the the office... still on hold.
Vodafone have some terrible hold times on their call centres.
What problem are you having with your cell mate?

Wonder if it is because of the fact that most owe money? :) Being proactive...hehe
Press 1 if you owe money and please hold if we owe you money...:)

Yes, Vodafone 2-3 years ago. Before they turned to shit. They used to be awesome at it, and won awards for customer service, now they are minimum 40min wait and staff that know less about their modems than I do!

No, they owed me and I was ringing to find out why they were taking so long to pay it. Paid now.:Punk:

I have had a couple of longer waits with Vodafone but they have been brilliant for us. Mind you we started with them soon after they came into NZ and we have everything with them.
I know of a business that was almost bankrupted by 2 Degrees! For young people on mobile only they may be okay but I will never recommend them for business!
Spark are still having serious problems with their services, and my son -in -law's company went back to them after the debacle with 2 Degrees and has had a few problems. Hopefully they will be okay.
I'll stick with Vodafone simply because they are the most reliable and they treat me well.
IRD has been faultless so far and treated me brilliantly.

IRD I do find pretty good now. Improved a lot in the last few years. Best ever though is MYOB when I ring them regarding our Payroll software. Hardly ever wait more than a minute and generally leave happy.

I know several people that have had enough and are changing provider, all in the last few months. I decided they are completely shit house several years ago when they jerked me around with my internet. Changed provider and took my phone off them too. Fuck vodafaone, their service is appalling, don't use them.

Had to try get my old Aunties Cable box upgraded as we bought her a new TV and needed HDMI.
All via the Philippines (or whereeva) then transferred to NZ??
One call 30 minutes, no Joy.
One 40 minute call finally organised and logged on the system couldn't get hold of NZ tech dept (from NZ) to book.
So had to call back
One 50 minute call to Activate and get a technician appointment to install.
90% of this time on hold. Worst customer service ever!!
Damn Near 2 hrs on hold to simply get a skybox and existing account upgraded and I'm on Voda at home.
Bloody hopeless :shit: Don't use them!

I know it doesn't help at the time, or even with your problem, but send them an email and have a whinge. I did that after two 45 minute calls to get my issue resolved and they gave me a $50 account credit.
Have you also noticed that the line to the Philippines (or wherever it is) is absolutely terrible - bad static and their voice drops out a bit. For a telco that's pretty pathetic.

I was with Ihug. Thought they were awesome. Vodafone bought it. They were ok to start, but 2 years of non investment and cutbacks at the call centres soon showed. So I voted with my feet and went to the best value / service proposition of the time. 2 years later who bought out Telstra? Since then as long as
I call the old Telstra Helpdesk number I get good service. But I wonder how long that will last now that they have finally forced me
Into moving to a Vodafone plan as opposed to a Telstra plan with Vodafone stationary?
Stupid phone / Tapatalk, apologies in advance.

Actually my internet is generally fast for the grade I am paying. I regularly get tests faster than advertised. Usually bottle neck is at the supply server. Hill billies down here don't seem to use the internet.

Voda business service won't be getting better in a hurry. They made a load of their nz call centre staff in Wellie redundant just before Xmas (nice timing huh). They used to be great, much better than Telstra clear for business. Yes the quality of that voip line to Philippines is shockingly bad. Have never really liked dealing with telecom much either.
