Scary stuff huh what knee jerk reactions can have on us and following generations; Just before i left the UK 5 years ago now they were trialling surveillance systems in Scotland; Anyone with a criminal record had there photo's taken and into the database, Now the cctv cameras on the streets had software that scanned joe public walking down the high street and if your mug was matched in the database you were tracked as far as possible automatically!

Now i dont know what happened with the trials but scary stuff especially as, i believe, you had your mug shot taken for minor motoring offences in some parts of Scotland

This is all quite interesting, One of the security email newsletters I get describes it like watching action movies. A new "movie" comes out (9/11 or bombs in UK etc) and they get all over it to stop that particular "movie" from occuring again. But they get so tied up with that they sort of lose the root cause. Then another new "movie" appears and they're off onto that. In the world of Neural Networks (computers that are trained to do a task), I think this would be called over training where they learn the training data so well they forget about the actual problem.

Personally I think it is only going to get worse :weep:

Programmes on TV are doing just that - programming the audience, often in the subconscience, one major reason why I don't have a television...but I have a computer or two!! :nya:


Personally I think it is only going to get worse :weep:Likewise do I. You can see the obvious change in the moral content of film & television over the years, especially the last 10, it's obvious that our society reflects that change through their thoughts and behaviour.

I believe it will get to the point where even NZ will become a 'police state' like our neighbours Aussie are becoming (see the link in my original post). United Nations will/is playing a key role also in bringing the world together (uniting) eventually under one over-ruling government/leader, and of course terrorism is accelerating that move...not far away either IMO.
