Also I will be back there on Monday the 17th for Work so if anyone has a Bike shit itself, I can bring the Horse float with me and get it back to Whangarei ( that’s providing the locals haven’t turned it into a sculpture of Opo the Dolphin by then) and get it down to ALK on Wednesday.Cann't do it. The FU*KERS picked the Rusty Nuts GC Weekend:angry2: to ride my home turf:argh: Maybe they were scaried that "Roxanne" would show them all up of I was riding on familar roads.

PS: need to pick-ip "Roxanne" on Sat from Planet Honda. If your keen for a ride Sat, I thought I'd go up to Mangonui for some Fish & Chips. Just seeing if I can get Ant to come along.

approx how long does it take to get to opononi without going scenic, ie taking the fastest route without speeding too much?

Might try and squeeze in but i have work til 8pm on saturday so i'll have to do an evening dash. (Might be on the R6 by then :headbang: )Shortest route to Opononi from Wellsford is via the SH12 (see attached map). A total distance of 185Km from Wellsford to Opononi. That alone is going to take you more than 2hrs. You'd make good time along Rauawi Straights (if you don't get done by a cop), but the worse bit is that you will be riding through Waipoua Forest at night. This part of the road is a tight twisty road that often has moss on it. This makes it slippery if wet (which it is more often than not). You really should leave riding through Waipoua for when you have daylight so that you can see the road properly.

had an awesome ride home from movie. carfull not to exceed the speed limit being 11:00 and all (didnt think to find out how late it would run)

anyway when I got home. I was turning my bike around and hit some leaves and mud on my driveway. i just looked over it all again. its mint except for the clutch.
