100 hours x minimum wage ($15.25) = $1525 excl tax.

You're welcome.

The potency of life (or cost of life) is an economic value assigned to life in general, or to specific living organisms. In social and political sciences, it is the marginal cost of death prevention in a certain class of circumstances.

to be fair - they didn't set out to kill the victim.

The Victim choose to stop and remove the object from the road. And on top of that, it was due to someone elses bad driving that she actually died.

It's a shit thing - but what would you do? lock them up and throw away the key for this? Did you never move road traffic cones into them middle of the road or some similar inconsiderate but relatively harmless prank in your youth?

Those three fuckwits moved a metal barrier or something. I like how the "hard" one with previous convictions and his longhaired mate threatened to kill the one who was actually remorseful and who did attend the RJ conference.

Shit situation but one of those fucktards at least has some hope.

Pretty standard, if you want to murder someone in NZ use a vehicle to do it, chances are you wont even go to jail

Or just use one, drunk, as a weapon to assault a biker for a spot of Home D.

awww c-mon, be fair, he was wanting to restart his painting business and he has also been ordered to do 200 hrs community service and $27000 reparation, ohh hang on, that was OVER $27000 reparation.

once had a worker go to court, at the ripe old age of 16 he already had $12000 worth of fines, judge felt sorry for him so commuted it to 60 hrs community service which he could buy back for $5.00 an hr which mummy promptly did, what a fucken joke. little arsehole is dead right now. no loss to society. only little c**t i have ever felt that way about.

Will be interesting to see the outcome of the Otorohanga hit and run, if anyone is found accountable.

I know people that have traded fines for PD, and it works out at more than minimum wage.

In fact a guy that had over 60k of fines managed to take it to court and convert them to PD, worked out at $100's an hour.

Yeah, its quite commonplace. just rack up the fines, convert to PD, then spend a few Saturdays doing fuck all on PD. I had one ask for Saturdays off unpaid to do just this as she was better off.

I converted several thousand in fines to half an hours gardening and a box of piss once. It turned out the sexton of the local cemetery didn't appreciate the burst water pipe in the RSA garden the week before Anzac Day.
