Is it like the 1100 airbox? Because most of those have been destroyed by streetfighter muppets cutting them out of the frame.

I don't think so as the 750 has a smaller frame, the bike is a 86 750 frame with a 88 1100 motor in it so need to either find the airbox and modifiy to work with the 1100 or find a set of flat slide carbs to run pod filters.

Pretty sure the 750 airbox will fit - certainly the carb spacing is the same. But if you're running the 1100CV carbs the rubbers will be a mile out i think.
Most 750 airboxes won't have rubbers left now as the TQ guys used them with home made filter boxes.
What can be done is to use the 750 flatslides bored to 33mm on the 1100. We did this for a season and got an F1 nat win at Teretonga using them.
They're 33 on the engine side with a stepped intake measuring 29mm. Boring's easy.

the 85-87 air boxes are the same, the air box needs to be fitted to the frame before fitting the engine.
you can fit the 1100 bst36 carbs to the 750 air box by using the 1100 rubbers and opening up the holes in the air box, but they are a right bugger to get in.
you may be better of with K&N filters the kind that two carbs will fit in to, have a read on the Gixxer forum.

You can definitely fit the airbox with the motor in the frame but you need to yank the starter, alternator and a couple of carby inlet stubs. The airbox is put down thru thr TOP of the frame turned to one side or another and then forced to turn in position. You wouldn't believe it could be done at first but trust me, it can be done. I made a thread about it on gixxer.com so it can be referenced.
You will need to be patient re getting an airbox and rubbers tho as Nodroger said, they were usually hacksawed out by pod fitters, who regretted doing so the next week. I bought one on ebay in the UK and had it posted here for mine.
