View Full Version : Bike hire for less than a week (Auckland)

A mate of mine who is getting back into riding after a few years away wants to sit his full licence test, and is looking at hiring a 250cc for a few days to get his familiarity back as well as for sitting the test.

He hopes to then upgrade to something larger (bastard is looking at buying a new 636, I told him they suck and no one on KB cares or them at all :bleh:).

Any one know who hires bikes for pretty good rates in Auckland?

Awesome Sarge, already have told him to stop in and see you, as I know you will look after him. He is after a 600cc + sprotsbike.

You in over the weekend?

No offence but if he has ridden 250's only before then I don't suggest a 600cc+. Especially a 636!!! A good 400 will do him fine mate.

No offence taken, at this stage he is just looking at what bikes are out there, after he passes his full, then this will allow him to test ride some bigger bikes, and I guess that he will find his comfort zone. I hear what you are saying about the 636's, they sure are mean. However I believe it is also the maturity of the rider not just the capacity that counts, and he is pretty level headed. Part of the problem also is that there arn't any new 400's, and his preference would be to buy new or near new anyway. I appreciate your comments.

350's are becoming more popular aren't they?

Not brand new, in sprots/street bikes it seems that it goes 250, 500, 600, 650. not alot between the 250 and 600 range.

actually I dont think my insurance would cover it. probably cost you the difference to sarge's offer to get it covered anyway. pm me if you want to follow up with insurance but I think sarge has the better offer for you. and hes got some great shit on sale too.
