I took a bus to Hastings 5hrs and ride back for the correct bike at correct price.
The guy that bought my old bike flew down from Auckland and road it home.
Comes down to correct price and desire to own.
ChCh flighty Wellington cheap and bus 30 plus 100 for you and bike on ferry and 100approx fuel. Sounds like a fun trip if the bike was 2200 would be worth while.

2.6 was a good offer on something listed at 3k. He should not have been offended and said you were close to the correct price and haggled a bit. If he really is going overseas he might come around. Let him know you offer still stands but any higher is above your budget factoring travel to collect. Leave your contact details.:msn-wink:

Harley profile says he is in Nelson but also says he works in a underwater cartoon restaurant. Might be best message and find bike location.

I'm not sure how you're gettin on finding a bike you like in that price range.
Personally I can understand any learner rider not wanting to travel the country to get a bike, especially if that involves riding the thing all the way back home.
Take a looksee at these two a bit closer to home:

(GPX 250, 2007, $2750 ono, 27000km)

(gn250, 2007, CB $2100, 15200km) There are a few of these in Chch btw.
