Hello. I have set a very realistic price for this beautiful motorcycle. Needs to be seen in the flesh to be appreciated.

If you know anything about these bikes you will know they can hold their own with the likes of KTM, Honda and Triumph when it comes to dual sport riding. Just have to check out the reviews on You Tube.

I have had two of these and now it is time to sell this one as it does not get the use it should have.

It is a 2014, with just a tick over 19000 km. It has had just one owner prior to myself and all of the servicing is up to date and the next due at approx 23-24000 km.

Meticulously maintained and cleaned, it supports the following extras. Heated grips, centre stand, adjustable touring screen, Suzuki genuine chain guard. Heated pads also included for the pillion grab handles should you have a significant other :)
It also has the genuine Suzuki touring luggage which is lockable. There is a top box with racks on top and support pad for pillion.

Driving LED lights add to a significant experience when faced with fog or oncoming traffic, this is of course switchable with the high and low beam.

Also, a genuine Givi expandable bag with locking mechanism on petrol cap is also included. This has a huge capacity!

I have also purchased from Italy a Givi bash plate (brand spanking new) explorer model and engine guards also brand new! I had to wait over three months for these as they are highly desirable upgrades for the VStrom.

This has not been dropped or ridden off road. I also have the original spares that came with the bike and tool kit, manual etc. All that came with the bike will be included.

I can be contacted at anytime and please come over to view this in person. Any questions or queries please just ask.

Buyer will be gifted a full tank of petrol ready to ride and you will NOT be disappointed.....
If you are in the market for a well set up Suzuki VStrom, with absolutely nothing to do but take it out of the garage and ride, then this it.

Thank you all.

Thank you for the comment. Yes they are. This one is showroom condition, although when taking photographs, blemishes show when they aint there! :(

First very nice bike in excellent condition. Have a Trademe search for DL1000 - a good number on there with similar or lower kms and similar or later build years. I'd politely propose you'll need to drop the price slightly as you are after close to 'dealer' money going by the Trademe listings. In which case prospective buyers will like the security of buying from a dealer.

The extras are nice but don't translate to sale $, however they do make the bike more attractive to buyers ;)

$12,999 is so much more attractive than $13,250 - weird I know but that's how we view stuff - look at all the new big screen TV's that have sold in Boxing Day sales around NZ because they had a few hundred off the ticket price!

Unfortunately for you Suzuki NZ are doing good deals on new VStroms too at the minute. 'Suzukifest' or something they are calling it. Yours looks t be a lovely machine and a small price drop may provoke the interest you are after. If I was in the market for such a machine I'd be sorely tempted mate. Persevere.

Someone took the time to call me and ask about the bike...:eek5:
I do not know though if he is serious but made an offer then also said I will think about it and get back to me...
Bit presumptuous then thinking the guy might be serious....Oh well, move on.

:done: Deal!! The new owner will be picking it up and riding around the North Island before heading home to Nelson.
Patience is a virtue I guess, it has taken three months which isn't bad in the scheme of things. :2thumbsup
Thank you all for the views and the nice comments! Now, onto bigger and brighter things. What is the price on the KTM 790 then? Hmm...

That's not bad - I see bikes sitting in shops for two or three times that length of time (actually I can think of one that's been there three years now ....)
