Hi all.
I moved recently from the US to New Zealand, just bought a 2013 DL650 and am getting ready for a service. Found a new Mobil oil I hadn't seen in the States: Mobile Extra 4T. It's a JASO MA2-rated 10W-40 semi-synthetic. I can't find much online about it except for this Product Description (https://www.mobil.com/en-GB/Passenger-Vehicle-Lube/pds/GL-XX-Mobil-Extra-4T-10W40).

Does anyone have experience with this oil?

I found what appears to be a pretty good deal from DrDiesel (https://drdiesel.nz/) on TradeMe (https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbikes/parts-for-sale/lubricants-coolants/listing-2554012887.htm?rsqid=7c0e4831e5424e42b3ebf3258b3ad 40d-002): 2 4l jugs for $62.

The previous owner of my XN650 used it. Looks like a good deal alright.

Yep, I've used Mobil Extra 4T in several bikes, 1400cc V-twin and couple of 1300cc I4s. At 5k oil and filter change, I'm not stressing the oil much though.

Thanks, that is a good deal.

Welcome to NZ and Kiwibiker. Just a little help with the Kiwi language - we buy beer in jugs, not oil. :)

Thanks for the tip! :niceone: So, what do you call those large plastic containers that oil comes in?

...4 or 5 liters of oil would suffice and universally (in NZ), everyone would know what you meant...or if you have enough coin, 10 liters of it...

Welcome to NZ.

Oil tub or container - Rather than jug to answer your Q.

Nice choice of bike by the way. I owned one a couple of years back - Loved it.
