Hey Guys just trying the tap into the pool of knowledge here.

My Son has an 06 CB600f Hornet as a work hack
Some dickheads tried to pinch it but only managed to smash the Ignition and steering lock.
We wish the thieves had been capable enough to actually steel the whole bike but the dickheads couldn't even achieve that :baby:
So bike is worth stuff all and insurance claim prob not worth it for the Access/return and loss of no claims.

$600 bucks plus 3 hours labor for Local Honda to do it. I can do it easily to help him out but Honda say its needs to go in and have the ignition reprogrammed if we fit a second hand one or a ebay job.

I know I can prob fit the old one back in without the steering lock or a switch somewhere under the tank but he will always have that worry when its parked.
Fucking thieves I hate the bastards.

Anyone here been down this track replacing an ignition before.

they made 600's for decades, maybe the year would assist in advice being suitable?

2006?

Your problem is HISS. Unless the ECU is happy with all the components, it won't be working...

Its ok Spyda forgiven LOL

Yes might patch up the old one and bugger the steering lock.

Hopefully them cutting the wiring hasn't already screwed up the HISS

Thanks for that :)
