No motorcycling saturday. took the co-pilot for a walk around Auckland. Princes wharf - up the high street to the markets in the Aotea Square.
As we were walking in there was a patched up highwayman taking off his helmet just as we walked past. On a bright green Speed Triple.
'Nice wheels mate.' I ventured.
'Yeah - i just stole it.'
I was frankly gobsmaked. Not often i'm stuck for words.
Quick as a flash co-pilot was onto it.
'As long as it's not ours - we don't care.'
And he dissapeared into the crowd.
(he didn't - hippie sold it to him)
Sunday was a different story. Blardy Italians - Yank on the Buell and the Trophy against an assortment of Axis machines.
Gary's Troy Bayliss replica is a thing of beauty. Shame i didn't get a better pic - next time.
Monday Tracy wanted to have a run on his new blade, hippie got the Speed Triple out and we bumped into aaron on the way out to Clevedon. Did a nice lap of the Bombays and headed home.
Pics as usual:
