i got my new bike yesterday, its a honda bros 650, it sounds soooooooooo sexy with its moriwaki [spelling?] zorst and goes like nutty buggers too. i rode it home from mirimar all the way back too eketahuna......well nearly, it died on me half way between ekeyahuna and masterton :argh: . so i got my brother too pick me up. i'm not too sure whats wrong with her so maybe someone could help.
it has plenty of petrol, but, the battery's past it, i think its a fuel blockage or something like that so i am going to try clean the carbs. i tried jump starting her but that didnt work, if anyone can help please give me a bell. :niceone:
on the bright side its a wonderfull bike with quite a few goodies such as:braided brake lines, scottoiler, ventura sprot and pack racks, aftermarket exhaust as already said and sounds the bee's knees   it goes around corners sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fucken faaaaaaast no-one kept up with me over the takas, i gave two boyracers the learn [yeah only a laser and a primera but still] and i wasnt even riding hard. i am perfectly at home on her. :devil2: and it does 160+ pretty friggin fast too........ [the + is because i stopped looking at the speedo] :devil2:

shes a beaut, i got her going, well, the old man did, he's a clever bugger he is. i took it for a ride and the clutch is all funny, but it still managed 170. 170 is fucken scary on an unfaired bike.....my riding gear just suddenly starts to flap at 170....it cruises at 150+ i'm just not used to it... :headbang:

Aaak, don't do this to me! I should never have sold mine. I tried to buy it back a while ago, but the guy who bought it from me trackdayed it to death. I may need to find another and start modding it. Not that I need a project or anything, building bicycles 'for fun' takes up way too much time.
Enjoy the Hawk (sorry, Bros - stupid name, but).
Cheers

After the CB400 I didn't think Honda would be game to use the Hawk name again.

thats a great bike and a fantastic bloody price!
good for you.
I thought the difference between the Bros (who else has mental image of those pomaded early 80's boy band twats? :shudder: ) and the Hawk was one was shaft drive and one chain? Could be wrong....

Nope, they're the same. I think there was even a 400 Bros. They used the Hawk name in US/Canada. BTW check out www.hawkgt.com , great group of people, all you ever needed to know about Hawks.
The shaft drive one was/is called a..uuum.....err....some Pom could help me out here. Not the same bike, used by couriers a lot, I know.
Cheers

The official new zealand ones were called the NTV650. Bros is import version. Some rumoured to be down on power compared to the NTV. Also comes in a 400cc
