Hi, I'm hoping to find either a vfr (nc30) or a rvf 400 thats is street worthy but doesnt have to be pretty. Or, if you have a running rolling chasis I might be into that as well.
Other parts I am interested in:
RVF/VFR petrol tanks, (2) RVF 17" rear wheels (2)
CBR400 NC29: engines: 1 rebuildable, 1 runner, 1 petrol tank
I will be in NZ in a couple of days for a month and am hoping to find these for spares. Please let me know what you have. I'll post a telephone number when get there.
Thanks!

perhaps, young gixxer monkey, but you dont even see them advertised here!
we cant put them on the street here in Cali hardly at all, so most of the ones that do come in are race bikes, and are coveted.
Plus, we americans tend to have this bigger is better complex, hence no 400 street market here. Little peckers, big cars... :weird:

Hi, yep I have a few NC30/NC35 bits n pieces to sell about now. I am in Wellington (Lower Hutt actually).
1 NC30 with polished wheels/frame/swingarm/forks. Needs complete plastics as previous owner flipped it showing off. All parts there other than fairings (I have a rough top fairing and another tank already (as previous had a bodgy home panelbeater make it worse. (hey, wasn't me ok:)).
Probably about 45km on the clocks, can't recall what year though. maybe '90
I also have 2 NC35 road bike rolling chassis:
1 has done about 35km and probably a '91 and needs a full set of plastics. Tank is already panelbeaten but not yet painted. This bike has it's registration on hold.
I also have another NC35 with approx 45km on the clock. It was written off as plastics again were stuffed. Tank has dent on one side so needs to be beaten/painted and pretty much fairings are munted. As this bike is no longer registered I also have a spare NC35 frame to go with it that is registered (Registration on hold). Forks may be slightly bent (not checked yet) but will straighten ok as is minimal. Not sure what year off the top of my head.
All the above bikes have mirrors/headlights/indicators/legal thickness rotors/top fairing brackets (brackets might need straightening)/instruments.
Actually they all have tail fairings as well with the NC30 being pretty ugly but NC35's not so bad.
Radiators are mixed condition in appearance but functional depending on which bike your looking at. (You can always mix n match for the cosmestically best pair)
Rider hangers are mixed as well, some better than others (with the crappy ones went on the NC30 race bike mentioned below since they are just gonna get bent anyway)
Yes the two NC35's have 17" rear wheels and I think I have a couple more lying around somewhere and maybe another NC30 & NC35 tank somewhere (NC35 will be well dented)
Also NC30 motors/motor parts and a few NC35 parts. Maybe a spare NC35 loom (or 2), CDI's etc etc.
Maybe some rearsets, and a HRC 3/4 exhaust copy. Lots of other bits n pieces as well, ie indicators/mirrors/instruments motor internals/NC30 & NC35 carbs/airboxes/swingarms.
Lots of NC35 fairing parts but mostly in pieces, (good for jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts). Also a few of the tank snorkel front covers and snorkels (in average condition mostly). A clean unscratched NC35 fairing blade somewhere as well.
..And also a NC30 race bike suitable for beginners as suspension isn't much up on stock and is a little rough in appearance. Too much hacked around to go back on the road but hardly used. Has skimmed heads/shimmed cam gear stacks and has proven itself reliable for the 1 hour I spent banging it against the rev limiter at Manfield 2 years ago.. Also has a custom subframe and a (I think) RC30 glass tailpiece.
..And coming up for sale if it makes it through the Nationals intact in about February is my ('94 maybe) RVF400 race bike. Has new Ohlins rear suspension, revalved/resprung (Eibach springs) worked front suspenson, rearsets, Italian lightweight fully adjustable clipons, Ethos stainless full race system, HRC CDI, tweaked carbs/airbox with stock motor, (making 67 at the rear wheel on Motomart's dyno as above 'cept with the aforementioned HRC 3/4 pipes instead of my shiny new super lightweight Ethos full stainless system..)
(P.s. For those NC30 fan's that's with NC35 carbs not NC30 carbs and a very smooth torque curve as a result..)
Currently setup with 17" 5.5" VFR rim/modified hub at the rear but have 17" original rear wheel/hub as well. This bike is still registered with registration on hold. Loom is severly hacked back (but spare loom mentioned above if ever going back on the road). Also has spare NC35 motor with NC30 gear clusters and skimmed heads/shimmed cam gear train for higher compression (which I will use this summer if I have time to test it for reliability). Various sized almost new alloy rear sprockets and a couple of different steel fronts. Spare set of wheels with wets. Spare set of forks/yoke. Spare new alloy clipons per above, Spare rearsets. Other minor parts as well (brake sets, cables whatever) but who can keep track of em. Have mirrors/lights/indicators/original rear subframe intact stored as well.
=========
And finally (since I'm doing a manual inventory) an unusual piece for the discerning collector out there, a set of NC30 cams, cut and spun 180 degrees to give a 180 degree firing arrangement, ie like a V-Twin or earlier V4 Honda..
I didn't make these, but kudos to Brent from Palmerston Nth for going to the trouble.. He said it didn't make anymore power (funnily enough) but I might have to try them one day just for the sound and feel of it..
========
PM me if you are reasonably interested. I ain't giving em away (but I ain't asking Tauranga prices either). Sensible offers will receive sensible responses.
If you are genuinely interested let me know what in particularly and I can take some hi-res photos if that would help.
Cheers

G'day man,
I have a NC30 race bike that I crashed on at puke last week, so am looking for some parts for it if you have some you wanna get rid of? Once i'm feeling better i'll take it apart and make a list of exactly what I need, but so far I now that i damaged:
-tank is wasted
-frame has a crack, not sure about fixing it
-rear 18" has dent, again not sure if can be fixed
-tripple clamp damaged
-hope forks are ok
-right hand controls
-brake resovoirs
-foot rest
etc etc
you think you'd have many/any of these parts?
cheers
Daryl
